The Rockford Fosgate P1V2-69 is a pair of 6x9-inch, 4-ohm 3-way coaxial speakers designed as a straightforward replacement for factory full-range speakers. They bring dedicated high-frequency drivers into a single speaker assembly, helping upgrade older or basic OEM systems that use single-cone drivers. The pair is suited to compatible door or rear-deck locations where a 6x9-inch speaker is specified.

Each speaker is rated for 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak, allowing the set to work with a compatible factory radio or an appropriately matched aftermarket amplifier. Its 45 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response covers low-midrange through high-frequency content for full-range playback. A 4-ohm nominal impedance supports common car-audio system configurations.

This 3-way design combines a 6x9-inch midrange driver with a 3/4-inch inverted-dome tweeter and a 3/8-inch piezo super tweeter. The integrated driver arrangement is intended to provide more high-frequency detail than a basic single-cone factory speaker. An internal crossover network directs the upper-frequency signal to the tweeter section.

The P1V2-69 uses a mica-reinforced polypropylene curvilinear cone, Santoprene half-roll surround, and Nomex spider. Its composite basket, vented Kapton voice-coil former, and ferrite motor structure support the speaker's mechanical and thermal design. The motor cover can be removed when additional mounting clearance is needed.

These speakers are sold as a pair and include installation hardware, short speaker-wire leads, connectors, and a cutout template. They can be used as an all-in-one upgrade in vehicles with compatible 6x9-inch mounting locations. Design & Installation

The P1V2-69 combines a 20–40% mica-reinforced polypropylene cone with a chemically bonded Santoprene half-roll surround and a linear Nomex spider. It uses a 15% glass-fiber-reinforced PA66 composite basket, stitched tinsel leads, co-molded terminals, a vented Kapton voice-coil former, and a Y35 ferrite motor structure. The 3/4-inch Tetolon inverted-dome tweeter and 3/8-inch polypropylene piezo driver are mounted concentrically within the speaker assembly.

Verify that the vehicle accepts a 6x9-inch speaker and check the 8.4 x 5.71-inch cutout requirement, 3.13-inch mounting depth with motor cover, 2.76-inch minimum depth without motor cover, and 0.42-inch front-side clearance. Disconnect the vehicle battery negative terminal before installation, route wiring before mounting, and observe positive and negative terminal polarity. Grilles are not included; separate grilles may be needed when the speaker is installed in an exposed location.
