The PreSonus ERISPRO-8 is a single 8-inch active studio monitor designed for accurate stereo mixing, surround production, and immersive monitoring systems. Its built-in biamplification eliminates the need for an external speaker amplifier, while balanced and unbalanced line-level inputs support common studio sources. It is sold individually, making it suitable for building a matched stereo pair or multi-channel system.

This monitor is intended for home studios, project rooms, professional mix spaces, and Dolby Atmos-oriented installations where consistent imaging is important. The coaxial driver arrangement places the high-frequency driver within the low-frequency driver for a single acoustic point source. This configuration is designed to support symmetrical dispersion and more consistent phase alignment at the listening position.

A woven glass-fiber composite 8-inch low-frequency driver works with a 1.25-inch silk-dome tweeter to cover a 35 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The front-ported cabinet helps extend low-frequency output, while the 140-watt Class AB biamplified design provides separate 75-watt LF and 65-watt HF amplification. Peak output is rated at 108 dB SPL at 1 meter.

Room-adjustment controls help the ERISPRO-8 adapt to practical monitor placements. High-frequency and mid-frequency controls provide continuously variable adjustment, while the Acoustic Space control compensates for bass buildup near walls or corners. A selectable low-cut filter at 80 Hz or 100 Hz can also help when integrating a subwoofer.

Connection flexibility includes balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch TRS, and unbalanced RCA inputs for use with interfaces, mixers, monitor controllers, and other line-level sources. Protection circuitry addresses RF interference, output-current limiting, overheating, turn-on/off transients, and subsonic content. Wall- and ceiling-mounting provisions allow the monitor to be incorporated into fixed stereo or multi-channel installations.

Design & Installation

The ERISPRO-8 uses a vinyl-laminated medium-density fiberboard cabinet with a horn-loaded coaxial two-way active design. Its front-firing port supports placement flexibility, and the cabinet measures 12.83 inches high, 10.63 inches wide, and 12.20 inches deep. Each monitor weighs 20.94 pounds and is finished in black.

For stereo use, purchase and position two monitors vertically, with the tweeters aimed toward the listening position and placed at ear height where possible. Connect each monitor directly to a line-level output using XLR, 1/4-inch TRS, or RCA; use only one input source per monitor at a time. The included foam feet can improve isolation, while the Acoustic Space and low-cut controls can be adjusted for placement near boundaries or for subwoofer integration.
