Each CLASSIC 5 is a two-way monitor with a 5-inch glass aramid woofer and a 1-inch textile soft-dome tweeter. Its built-in bi-amplified Class A/B power section supplies 30 watts to the low-frequency driver and 20 watts to the high-frequency driver. The monitor is designed around a flat response setting for evaluating mixes, with user-adjustable low- and high-frequency controls for adapting to a room.

The front-firing port supports practical placement on a desktop, monitor stand, or shelf, including positions that may be closer to a wall than a rear-ported design. Frequency response is rated from 56 Hz to 30 kHz within +/-3 dB, with a -10 dB frequency range extending from 46 Hz to 34.5 kHz. A system-optimized limiter helps manage unexpected peaks during use.

Connection options include balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch TRS, and unbalanced RCA inputs. This lets the monitors work with many audio interfaces, mixers, controllers, and other line-level playback equipment. Each speaker has its own volume control, so the pair should be set up and level-matched as a stereo system.

Design & Installation

Each CLASSIC 5 uses a 15 mm MDF enclosure with high-impact polystyrene construction elements and a black vinyl-wrap finish. The cabinet uses a front-firing port, and the monitor has no grille. Foam isolation pads are fitted to the bottom of each monitor.

Place the two monitors as a left/right pair at ear height when possible, with the tweeters aimed toward the listening position. Connect each monitor to a line-level source using XLR, 1/4-inch TRS, or RCA as appropriate, then set both volume controls to matching levels. Use the included split foam wedges beneath the monitors for desktop or stand placement, and adjust the LF and HF controls only as needed for the room and listening position.
