PreSonus MicroStation BT 2.1 Monitor Controller

The PreSonus MicroStation BT is a compact 2.1 monitor controller designed to bring centralized volume control and Bluetooth streaming to powered speakers. It connects a stereo pair of studio monitors or other powered speakers, with dedicated subwoofer outputs for a simple 2.1 desktop listening system. It is a practical fit for home studios, editing suites, computer audio systems, and media workspaces.

Bluetooth 5.0 lets a compatible phone, tablet, or computer stream wirelessly to the connected speaker system. For wired sources, the MicroStation BT provides balanced ¼-inch TRS line inputs and a stereo ⅛-inch unbalanced auxiliary input. A Bluetooth on/off control lets you select the Bluetooth input or use an analog source.

The large front-panel volume control adjusts the overall level of the main speakers and subwoofer together. This makes everyday level adjustments straightforward without reaching behind speakers or a subwoofer. A dedicated mute button silences all outputs when needed.

For systems with a powered subwoofer, the MicroStation BT provides both balanced ¼-inch TRS and unbalanced RCA subwoofer outputs. Its Sub Bypass control mutes only the subwoofer outputs, allowing quick comparison between full-range stereo listening and 2.1 playback. The main outputs remain active when the subwoofer is bypassed.

The controller also includes a stereo ⅛-inch Aux Out/Phones connection for headphones or line-level use. Switching the main outputs off allows the Aux Out/Phones output to be used by itself. USB-C supplies power to the unit, while audio connections are handled through its analog inputs, outputs, or Bluetooth connection.

The MicroStation BT uses a compact black desktop format with clearly labeled front-panel controls for Bluetooth, pairing, mute, sub bypass, main output switching, and overall volume. Its large volume knob is designed for convenient hands-on level adjustment. The unit is intended to sit within easy reach in a monitoring or media-listening setup.

Connect powered monitors or a power amplifier to the balanced ¼-inch TRS main outputs, then connect a powered subwoofer through either the balanced TRS or unbalanced RCA subwoofer output. Use the balanced TRS inputs for an audio interface or other professional source, and use the ⅛-inch input for a wired mobile device or media player. Power is supplied through the included USB-C-to-USB-A cable; a USB power adapter is not included.
