The KRK RP8G4WN-NA ROKIT 8 G4 is a single powered 8-inch studio monitor designed for nearfield music production, mixing, editing, and critical playback. Its built-in amplification removes the need to match an external power amp to the speaker. The White Noise finish offers a clean alternative to the standard black model while retaining the same monitor platform.

This active two-way monitor uses an 8-inch Kevlar woofer and a 1-inch Kevlar dome tweeter to cover low, mid, and high frequencies from one cabinet. Its 36 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response and 111 dB maximum SPL support detailed monitoring with substantial low-frequency extension. The front-firing bass port also makes placement more flexible than a rear-ported design when working near a wall.

KRK equips the ROKIT 8 G4 with separate Class-D amplifiers for its low- and high-frequency drivers. The bi-amped design provides 135 watts RMS to the woofer and 68 watts RMS to the tweeter, for 203 watts RMS total output. A built-in brickwall limiter helps protect the monitor against excessive amplifier drive.

Room acoustics can strongly affect what you hear at the listening position, especially in home and project studios. The ROKIT 8 G4 includes DSP-driven EQ with 25 selectable voicings, adjusted from the rear-panel LCD and encoder. This lets users make practical low- and high-frequency corrections after setting up the monitors in their room.

Use one monitor for mono reference playback, or purchase two matching units for a conventional left/right stereo monitoring system. The balanced/unbalanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS combo input connects directly to an audio interface, monitor controller, mixer, or other line-level source. EVA isolation foam on the base helps reduce mechanical coupling to a desk or speaker stand.

Design & Installation

The ROKIT 8 G4 uses a low-resonance, front-ported enclosure with a vertical monitor orientation. Its magnetic front baffle can accept an optional protective grille faceplate, while the integrated EVA foam base helps keep the cabinet stable and isolated from the supporting surface. The rear panel combines the power connection, power switch, analog input, LCD, and control encoder in one accessible location.

For stereo monitoring, use two identical units and connect each monitor to its own left or right line-level output. Position the monitors approximately 3 to 5 feet apart, angle them toward the listening position, and keep the acoustic axis near ear height. Connect balanced XLR or 1/4-inch TRS cables when available, begin with the EQ set flat, and then make room-tuning adjustments only after evaluating placement.
