The Kenwood DDX5707S is a double-DIN multimedia DVD receiver designed to modernize an older factory radio with touchscreen control, smartphone integration, Bluetooth, and camera capability. Its 6.75-inch capacitive touchscreen provides a central interface for media, calls, navigation apps, and vehicle-audio adjustments. It is a practical fit for drivers who want wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto along with traditional disc and radio playback.

For everyday listening, the DDX5707S combines AM/FM reception, USB media playback, Bluetooth audio, and DVD/CD support in one dashboard component. It can play common digital audio formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, and Vorbis files from USB storage. The built-in four-channel amplifier supports conventional 4- to 8-ohm vehicle speakers.

Sound tuning is centered on a 13-band graphic equalizer, adjustable crossover settings, speaker level controls, and digital time alignment. These tools let an installer tailor the system for speaker locations and listening position rather than relying on a fixed sound preset. A dedicated subwoofer output and 2-volt preouts provide a path to external amplification and bass upgrades.

The receiver uses a transparent TN LCD panel with TFT active-matrix drive, 800 x 480 resolution, RGB pixel arrangement, and LED backlighting. Its capacitive touch panel is intended for direct, responsive control of the source and setup menus. Bluetooth 4.1 supports hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, with SBC and AAC codec support.

For a broader vehicle upgrade, the DDX5707S includes a rear-view camera input and a steering-wheel remote input. It also supports SiriusXM when used with a compatible optional SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner. Wired USB smartphone connection is used for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making this receiver suitable for systems that prioritize dependable connected-phone operation.

The DDX5707S uses a fixed 6.75-inch widescreen display built around a transparent TN LCD panel, TFT active-matrix drive system, and LED backlighting. Its double-DIN chassis measures 178 x 100 x 153 mm without the sleeve, while the installed outer dimensions with sleeve are 182 x 112 x 153 mm. A trim plate, mounting sleeve, wiring connectors, microphone, and mounting hardware are supplied for installation.

Confirm dashboard fitment and vehicle-specific wiring needs before purchase, as many vehicles require an appropriate dash kit, wiring interface, antenna adapter, or steering-wheel-control interface. Connect compatible iPhone or Android devices through the USB lead for CarPlay or Android Auto, and route the included microphone toward the driver for hands-free use. A compatible optional SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner is required for SiriusXM service, while a separate compatible camera is required to use the rear-camera input.
