JVC KW-M875BW Double DIN 6.8" Receiver with Wireless CarPlay

The JVC KW-M875BW is a Double DIN digital multimedia receiver designed to bring current smartphone connectivity, navigation access, and configurable audio control to an aftermarket dashboard. Its 6.8-inch-class clear resistive touchscreen provides a centralized interface for music, calls, compatible apps, cameras, and vehicle-related functions. It is suited to drivers replacing a factory radio or building a more capable audio and camera system.

Wireless or wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let compatible phones connect through Wi-Fi or USB, reducing the need to handle the phone while driving. The receiver also supports USB mirroring for iPhone and Android devices, plus Wi-Fi mirroring for select Android devices. Bluetooth 5.0 supports hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, with two phones able to remain connected full-time.

For sound, the KW-M875BW combines a built-in 50-watt-by-four maximum amplifier with 22 watts RMS by four channels of typical full-bandwidth power. A 13-band equalizer, digital time alignment, K2 sound processing, and selectable two-way or three-way crossover settings allow the system to be tailored around factory or aftermarket speakers. Its 5-volt front, rear, and subwoofer preouts also provide a clean connection point for external amplification.

The receiver supports high-resolution audio playback from compatible USB files, including WAV and FLAC files up to 192 kHz/24-bit. Bluetooth audio support includes SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. USB media playback covers MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, and Vorbis audio formats along with supported MPEG, H.264, WMV, and MKV video files.

A short 85 mm chassis helps create extra clearance behind the dashboard for wiring and integration modules. Four camera inputs can accommodate a rear camera, front camera, and additional side or blind-spot cameras when compatible equipment is added. SiriusXM readiness, iDatalink Maestro compatibility, steering-wheel-control readiness, and HDMI input support make this receiver a flexible foundation for a more integrated vehicle upgrade.

Design & Installation

The KW-M875BW uses a short-body receiver chassis measuring 85 mm deep, paired with a TN LCD, TFT active-matrix display, LED backlighting, and a clear resistive touch panel. Its interface includes Dynamic GUI widgets, gesture touch control, customizable wallpaper support, and a blue-illuminated volume key. The screen offers 800 x 480 resolution with an RGB striped pixel arrangement.

Verify that the vehicle accepts a Double DIN installation size before purchase, and use the appropriate vehicle-specific dash kit, wiring harness, antenna adapter, and steering-wheel-control interface where required. The receiver includes a rear USB Type-C connection and supports up to 5V/3A charging through its supplied extension and Type-C-to-Type-A adapter. Install the supplied GPS antenna for wireless Apple CarPlay operation, connect the parking-brake lead as directed, and add separately sold components for SiriusXM, iDatalink Maestro, cameras, HDMI devices, or factory steering-wheel-control retention.
