The JBL Legend 700 is a double-DIN digital multimedia receiver built around a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It updates a compatible vehicle with smartphone-focused navigation, calling, music playback, and radio access in a single dashboard component. It is intended for drivers who want modern phone integration without giving up traditional AM/FM listening and wired media connections.

Wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support let compatible phones connect for familiar app access and voice-controlled functions. Bluetooth 5.0 provides a separate option for hands-free calling and wireless music streaming. The receiver also supports USB, an auxiliary input, and a built-in AM/FM tuner with RDS.

For system tuning, the Legend 700 includes a 16-band equalizer with time alignment. These controls allow the installer or listener to adjust tonal balance and account for speaker placement in the vehicle. Dedicated subwoofer controls provide direct management of the subwoofer preamp output level.

The built-in amplifier is rated for up to 50 watts maximum per channel, while its measured RMS output is 12 watts x 4 at 12.8V or 14 watts x 4 at 14.4V into 4 ohms. This makes it suitable for powering standard vehicle speakers at moderate levels. For larger systems, its 4Vrms six-channel preamp outputs can feed external front, rear, and subwoofer amplifiers.

The receiver is designed as a central source unit for a staged upgrade path. A backup-camera input supports an added rear-view camera, while the included GPS antenna supports its integrated navigation-related connectivity functions. Its main wiring harness, mounting bracket, trim ring, external microphone, and hardware are included for installation planning.

The Legend 700 uses a black double-DIN format with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and included trim ring. Its front-panel layout combines touchscreen operation with direct access to key receiver functions, including subwoofer level control. JBL specifies the receiver for a double-DIN opening approximately 4 inches tall.

Confirm vehicle dash compatibility before purchase, as many vehicles require a vehicle-specific dash kit, wiring harness adapter, or interface to retain factory functions. The package includes the main wiring harness, mounting bracket, GPS antenna, external microphone, six screws, quick-start guide, and safety sheet. Install the included external microphone in a position suited to clear hands-free calling, and use the 4V preouts when adding external amplification.
