The Jackson JS2 Concert Bass is a right-handed, four-string electric bass designed for players who want a full-scale instrument with straightforward controls and a distinctive modern look. Its 34-inch scale length supports familiar standard bass string tension and spacing. Finished in Snow White with black hardware, it is suited to practice, rehearsal, recording, and live performance.

A lightweight poplar Concert Bass body pairs with a bolt-on maple neck to create a practical platform for a wide range of bass parts. The neck includes graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint for added structural support. Its satin neck finish is intended to provide a smooth playing surface during position changes.

Dual Jackson covered high-output humbucking pickups deliver the instrument's HH pickup configuration. Separate neck-pickup and bridge-pickup volume controls let the player blend the two pickups, while a master tone control adjusts the overall high-frequency response. This passive control layout keeps setup simple for players using a bass amplifier, DI, pedalboard, or recording interface.

The amaranth fingerboard uses a 12-inch to 16-inch compound radius that becomes flatter farther up the neck. With 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin position inlays, the JS2 provides access across two octaves per string. The 1.650-inch nut width and full 34-inch scale place it within familiar four-string bass dimensions.

Jackson equips the JS2 Concert Bass with a HiMass bridge, sealed die-cast tuning machines, and nickel-plated steel strings in .045-.105 gauges. These components support stable everyday setup and tuning maintenance. It can serve as a complete bass foundation for a player building a first rig or adding a four-string instrument with dual humbuckers to an existing system.

Design & Installation

The JS2 uses a gloss-finished poplar body, one-piece maple neck, amaranth fingerboard, black plastic nut, and black-finished hardware. Pearloid sharkfin inlays, black pickup covers, dome-style control knobs, and a pointed four-in-line Jackson headstock complete its visual design. The bolt-on neck construction includes a dual-action truss rod adjustable at the nut.

This is a passive electric bass with a standard 1/4-inch instrument output, so it should be connected with a regular instrument cable to a bass amplifier, DI box, audio interface, or compatible pedal chain. For setup, use the included truss-rod wrench only when adjustment is needed and follow normal bass setup practices for neck relief, action, intonation, and string changes.
