The Arturia DRUMBRUTE IMPACT is a standalone analog drum machine designed for creating programmed rhythms, live beats, and performance-oriented drum parts without relying on sampled drum libraries. Its 10 analog voices provide a focused electronic percussion palette with kick, two snares, toms, cowbell, cymbal, closed and open hats, and an FM sound. It gives producers, performers, and electronic musicians a hands-on way to build and vary patterns quickly.
Its sound character is direct and analog, with dedicated instrument controls for shaping key tonal parameters as you play. The unit includes output distortion for the main mix when more edge is wanted, while individual instrument levels help balance the kit. Eight velocity-sensitive pads support real-time performance and pattern entry, with shared pad channels providing access to all 10 drum instruments.
The integrated sequencer stores 64 patterns arranged across four banks, with patterns supporting up to 64 steps. Separate accent programming per drum, per-instrument swing, randomness, and polyrhythm functions help create more animated rhythms than a fixed loop. Song mode can chain saved patterns into up to 16 songs, with up to 16 pattern entries per song.
Arturia's Color function adds a second layer of sound variation to the instrument voices, including options such as kick drive, tom decay, cymbal harmonics, and FM pitch envelope changes. Color can be applied by instrument or programmed independently on individual steps for movement within a pattern. The cowbell does not include a Color effect.
DRUMBRUTE IMPACT fits easily into computer-based, MIDI hardware, and vintage sync setups through USB MIDI, DIN MIDI, and analog clock connections. A main mix output, headphone output, and four individual outputs make it practical for recording, external effects processing, or separate mixer channels. It includes a power supply and can be configured further with Arturia MIDI Control Center software.

- Flexible Synchronization: Connects with USB MIDI, DIN MIDI, and selectable analog clock formats.
Design & Installation
DRUMBRUTE IMPACT uses a compact desktop format with a dedicated control layout, 16 step buttons, a tempo/value display, eight velocity-sensitive performance pads, and physical controls for sound and sequence functions. Its instrument channels place sound-shaping controls directly on the hardware for immediate adjustment. The unit measures 13.5 x 9.6 x 2.2 inches and weighs 4 pounds.
For setup, connect the included 12V DC power supply, then route the 1/4-inch mix output to a mixer, audio interface, monitor controller, or external processing chain. The four 3.5mm individual outputs can send Kick, Snares, Hi Hats, and FM Drum to separate channels; connecting one removes its assigned sound from the mix and headphone outputs. Use USB or DIN MIDI for DAW and hardware integration, or use the clock input and output for compatible legacy sync devices.

Is DRUMBRUTE IMPACT a car audio product?
No. It is a desktop analog drum machine for music production and live performance. It is not a vehicle receiver, amplifier, speaker, or subwoofer.
Can it connect to a computer or DAW?
Yes. It has a USB MIDI connection for synchronization, MIDI data, firmware updates, and use with Arturia MIDI Control Center. USB supplies data connectivity; the unit uses its included 12V DC power supply for power.
Can I record drums to separate mixer or interface channels?
Yes. It has dedicated 3.5mm outputs for Kick, Snares, Hi Hats, and FM Drum, in addition to the main mix output. Plugging into an individual output removes that assigned instrument signal from the main mix and headphone outputs.
What comes in the box?
The box includes the DRUMBRUTE IMPACT unit and power supply. Arturia lists the power requirement as 12V DC, 1A, center-positive.
Can it synchronize with older drum machines?
Yes. In addition to USB and DIN MIDI synchronization, it has clock input and output connections. Clock formats include 1 pulse per step, 2 pulse, 24 PPQ/DIN sync, and 48 PPQ.
