The Zoom Q2n-4K is a compact handy video recorder designed for musicians, performers, podcasters, and creators who need coordinated video and stereo audio in one portable device. It combines a 4K-capable camera with built-in X/Y microphones, reducing the need to synchronize separate camera and audio-recorder files later. It is well suited to rehearsals, live performances, practice sessions, interviews, and desktop streaming setups.

A 150-degree wide-angle lens helps capture a solo performer, instrument, or wider ensemble from a practical placement distance. Five field-of-view settings let the user shift from a broad view toward a tighter framing option. Recording is available in 4K, 1080p, and 720p resolutions with multiple frame-rate choices.

The fixed 120-degree X/Y stereo microphone pair is specified to handle sound-pressure levels up to 120 dB SPL. This makes the recorder appropriate for sources ranging from speech and acoustic instruments to louder rehearsal and stage environments when levels are set properly. Analog-style level control, onscreen metering, Auto Gain modes, and a selectable low-cut filter provide useful recording controls.

For difficult lighting, the Q2n-4K includes HDR technology and 12 scene settings, including Auto, Concert Light, Jazz Club, Dance Club, and Flat. The color LCD provides a direct way to frame a shot and access recording settings. Video with audio is saved as MOV, while Camera Off mode can record standalone WAV audio up to 96 kHz/24-bit.

The Q2n-4K can also serve as a USB webcam or USB microphone for computer and compatible iOS workflows. Its micro HDMI output supports viewing video on an HDTV, while the headphone/line output supports audio monitoring. With a built-in standard tripod mount, AA battery power, USB bus power support, and optional power accessories, it can be integrated into a portable or fixed content-creation setup.

The Q2n-4K uses a compact handheld format with a 1.77-inch full-color LCD, front-facing wide-angle lens, integrated X/Y microphone array, physical recording controls, and a built-in standard tripod mount. Its main-unit dimensions are 68.5 mm wide, 83.0 mm high, and 58.7 mm deep, with a main-unit weight of 124 g. A lens hood and lens cap are included for practical handling and transport.

For recording, install a compatible microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC card and power the unit with two AA batteries, USB bus power, or the optional Zoom AD-17 DC power adapter. Mount it on a tripod or compatible accessory, select video, FOV, scene, audio, and gain settings, then use headphones through the combined headphone/line output when monitoring is needed. For computer streaming, connect the micro USB port and select webcam or USB microphone operation as appropriate.
