The Zoom LBC-1 is a dedicated lithium-ion battery charger for compatible Zoom Handy Video Recorder batteries. It provides a separate charging solution for users who want to charge a spare battery outside the recorder. This helps keep a compatible battery ready while another is installed in the camera.

It is designed for Zoom BT-02 batteries used with Q4 and Q4n Handy Video Recorders, as well as BT-03 and BT-03b batteries used with Q8 and Q8n-4K recorders. The charger is intended for these battery families rather than general-purpose lithium-ion cells. Using the correct dedicated charger helps maintain a straightforward, compatible power workflow.

The LBC-1 does not process or reproduce audio; its performance focus is dependable battery charging for portable video-and-audio recording setups. A built-in charging indicator provides immediate status feedback, displaying red while a battery is charging and green when charging is complete. This makes it easy to confirm battery status before a recording session.

Power is supplied through its USB Mini-B input, allowing operation from a computer's USB bus power. It can also be used with Zoom's optional AD-17 AC adapter for charging from an AC outlet. The two power options support practical use at a desk, in a studio, or as part of a mobile production kit.

At 82 x 50 x 29 mm and 40 g, the LBC-1 is compact enough to keep alongside compatible Zoom recorders and spare batteries. It is a useful accessory for creators who need to rotate batteries between shoots rather than wait for in-device charging. Batteries, the AD-17 adapter, and a USB cable are separate items.

The LBC-1 uses a compact dedicated charging design with a USB Mini-B power input and a battery connection area for supported Zoom packs. Its small 40 g form factor is intended for portable recorder accessories and storage in a production bag. The charger is specified for use within a +5 to +35 degrees C charging-temperature range.

Insert a supported BT-02, BT-03, or BT-03b battery into the charger, then connect the LBC-1 to a computer USB port or to the separately available Zoom AD-17 AC adapter. Check the LED during charging: red means charging is in progress, while green means charging is complete. Use only compatible Zoom battery models and the specified AD-17 adapter when charging from an AC outlet.
