RØDE STREAMERX 4K Capture Card & Audio Interface

The RØDE STREAMERX combines a video capture card, audio interface and desktop control surface in one compact unit. It is designed to simplify streaming, gaming, podcasting, presentations and content-production setups that would otherwise require separate capture and audio devices. A single HDMI source, microphone or instrument, headset and computer can be brought together through one central interface.

For creators who need clean voice capture alongside gameplay, camera footage or computer video, the STREAMERX provides a high-gain Revolution Preamp and integrated APHEX processing. Its microphone input specification includes a 113 dB dynamic range and -131.5 dBV A-weighted preamp noise. Direct headphone monitoring supports practical level checking without relying solely on software monitoring.

Video enters through HDMI 2.0 and can be captured at up to 4K30, 1440p60 or 1080p120. HDMI passthrough supports input formats up to 4K60 HDR, while Variable Refresh Rate support helps accommodate compatible gaming systems and displays. This makes it suitable for a camera, console or computer with HDMI output.

The STREAMERX accepts an XLR microphone or instrument through its Neutrik combo input, plus a TRRS headset and compatible RØDE Series IV wireless microphones through its integrated receiver. Two USB-C interfaces support connections to two computers or compatible mobile-device workflows. Four SMART pads provide hands-on triggering for stored sounds, voice effects, MIDI commands and computer actions.

It can serve as the hub of a compact streaming desk, a dual-computer gaming setup or a portable video-and-audio production system. RØDE Central provides device configuration, while RØDE UNIFY supports advanced routing and mixing. Its included USB-C cable and power adapter provide the core connection hardware, with HDMI source and display cables selected separately for the installation.

Design & Installation

The STREAMERX is a compact desktop control surface designed and made in RØDE's Sydney, Australia, manufacturing facilities. It uses dedicated rotary controls, microphone and video mute switches, illuminated status indicators and four SMART pads for direct operation. RØDE does not specify the enclosure material in its published specification sheet.

Connect the HDMI output of a camera, console or computer to HDMI IN, then connect HDMI THRU to a compatible monitor or television when passthrough is needed. Use the supplied SuperSpeed USB-C cable from USB 1 to the main computer for video capture, connect the supplied power adapter, and attach an XLR microphone, instrument, headset or compatible RØDE wireless transmitter as required. Configure routing, pad assignments and processing with RØDE Central or use RØDE UNIFY when expanded software mixing is needed.
