The Fender Quantum LT 4 is a compact 4-in, 2-out USB-C audio interface for musicians, podcasters, streamers, and home-studio creators who need flexible recording connections. It combines microphone, line-level, and instrument recording options in one desktop-friendly unit. Its layout is especially useful for recording a vocal-and-guitar performance, a duo, or multiple sources at once.

Two MAX-HD microphone preamps provide up to 75 dB of gain for detailed capture with a wide range of microphones. Fender specifies a transparent, low-noise signal path designed to preserve the natural character of vocals and acoustic instruments. Two dedicated Hi-Z instrument inputs are also optimized for direct recording from electric guitar, bass, and other instruments.

The Quantum LT 4 supports 24-bit audio at sample rates up to 192 kHz, with custom low-latency drivers for responsive computer-based recording. This helps performers monitor and track in real time with a streamlined workflow. Balanced main outputs and a headphone output support practical monitoring with studio speakers and headphones.

Loopback audio lets creators combine computer audio with live microphone or instrument sources for streaming, podcasting, and content production. Standalone Mixer Mode allows the interface to be used for simple analog-style mixing without a computer or DAW. Direct-monitoring control can also be managed through Fender Studio Pro or Universal Control.

For guitar-focused production, registered hardware unlocks the Fender Amp & FX Pack in the Fender Studio app. The interface also includes a six-month Fender Studio Pro demo, giving new users a starting point for recording and production. Its USB-C connection, compact dimensions, and flexible input arrangement make it a practical foundation for a growing desktop recording setup.

  • 4x2 USB-C Interface: Provides four inputs and two output channels for compact multi-source recording.
  • Dual MAX-HD Preamps: Supplies up to 75 dB of gain for microphones requiring substantial clean gain.
  • Dual Instrument Inputs: Connect guitars, basses, and other high-impedance instruments directly to the interface.
  • 24-Bit/192 kHz Audio: Supports high-resolution recording across common professional sample rates.
  • Loopback Audio: Combines system audio and live inputs for streaming, podcasting, and content creation.
  • Standalone Mixer Mode: Enables simple computer-free analog-style mixing when a DAW is not needed.

Design & Installation

The Quantum LT 4 has a compact black desktop form factor measuring 7 inches wide, 3.5 inches deep, and 1.75 inches high. Its connection layout includes combo microphone/line inputs, front-facing Hi-Z instrument inputs, balanced 1/4-inch TRS main outputs, and a 1/4-inch TRS headphone output. At 1.8 pounds, it is suited to permanent desktop setups as well as portable recording rigs.

Connect the interface to a compatible computer through USB-C, then connect microphones, line-level equipment, instruments, headphones, and powered monitors as needed. Use the balanced TRS outputs with compatible studio monitors and the front instrument inputs for direct guitar or bass tracking. Fender Studio Pro or Universal Control can be used to manage direct-monitoring functions, while Mixer Mode supports simple operation without a computer.
