The PreSonus QUANTUM ES ULTIMATE is a complete home-recording bundle built around a USB-C audio interface, monitoring tools, a condenser microphone, and recording software. It gives musicians, podcasters, and content creators a coordinated starting point for tracking vocals, instruments, and computer audio. The package combines the core pieces needed to move from recording ideas to listening back on monitors or headphones.

At the center is the Quantum ES 2, a 2-in/2-out, 24-bit/192 kHz USB-C audio interface with two MAX-HD microphone preamps. Its 75 dB gain range, switchable 48V phantom power, instrument input, and Auto Gain function support common vocal, instrument, and microphone-recording workflows. Low-noise conversion, direct hardware control, LED metering, and Universal Control compatibility provide practical control during sessions.

The included Eris 3.5 active studio monitors are designed for nearfield listening in compact workspaces. Their 3.5-inch woven glass-fiber composite low-frequency drivers, 1-inch silk-dome tweeters, and 50-watt Class AB amplification provide a clear reference for editing, mixing, playback, and everyday media. High- and low-frequency Acoustic Tuning controls help adjust the monitor response for desk and room placement.

For close-miked recording, the M9 is a cardioid condenser microphone with an 18 mm pure aluminum diaphragm and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz response. Its cardioid pickup pattern concentrates on sound in front of the microphone while reducing pickup from the rear. A shock mount, mic-stand adapter, and XLR microphone cable are included for connection to the interface.

The HD9 closed-back headphones add an alternate monitoring option for recording and private listening. Their 45 mm neodymium drivers, 40-ohm impedance, and 10 Hz to 26 kHz frequency response are suited to tracking and checking mixes when speakers are not practical. With Studio One Pro software and 12 months of Studio One+ access included, the bundle can serve as a first home-studio system or a compact recording upgrade.

Design & Installation

The bundle pairs a compact black Quantum ES 2 desktop interface with black Eris 3.5 monitors, a satin-nickel M9 microphone, and collapsible HD9 headphones. The M9 uses a die-cast zinc housing and includes a shock mount, while the Eris monitor cabinets use vinyl-laminated medium-density fiberboard. The monitors use a two-way active design with a 3.5-inch woven-composite woofer and 1-inch silk-dome tweeter.

Connect the Quantum ES 2 to a compatible computer using USB-C, then connect the Eris monitors to its balanced 1/4-inch TRS main outputs for a straightforward desktop setup. Connect the M9 to a combo XLR input with the included XLR cable and enable 48V phantom power when using the microphone; attach it to a suitable mic stand using the included adapter. Place the Eris monitors at ear level in a nearfield position, connect the passive speaker with the supplied speaker wire, and use the front headphone output or included HD9 headphones when silent monitoring is needed.
