This item PreSonus AUDIOBOX ITWO STUDIO USB Recording Bundle $279.99
Mogami GOLD STUDIO-10 10' XLR Microphone Cable $87.95
Bundle total: $367.94

The PreSonus AudioBox iTwo Studio is a compact recording bundle built for musicians, podcasters, voice-over creators, and home-studio users who need a straightforward way to capture sound on a computer or compatible iPad. It combines a two-channel USB audio/MIDI interface, an M7 condenser microphone, HD7 monitoring headphones, required cables, and recording software. This package provides the essential recording path from microphone or instrument to a digital session.

At the center of the bundle is the bus-powered AudioBox iTwo interface, which connects by USB 2.0 and supports up to 24-bit/96 kHz digital audio. Its two combo inputs accept balanced XLR microphones as well as 1/4-inch line and instrument sources. This lets a creator record vocals and guitar, a stereo keyboard setup, or two microphones without adding a separate preamp.

The interface uses Class A microphone preamps with switchable +48V phantom power, making it ready for the included M7 back-electret condenser microphone. The M7 uses a unidirectional pickup pattern and is suited to close-miked vocals, spoken word, acoustic instruments, and similar single-source recording tasks. Its 20 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response and included phantom-power compatibility make it a practical starting microphone for a small recording setup.

For monitoring, the included HD7 headphones use 50 mm neodymium drivers and a semi-open acoustic design. Their extended 10 Hz to 30 kHz response helps users monitor takes, edit sessions, and work privately without requiring external speakers. The interface also provides a dedicated headphone output with its own level control.

The AudioBox iTwo supports direct analog monitoring, allowing users to blend live input with computer playback while recording. Balanced 1/4-inch main outputs provide a connection point for powered studio monitors, while 1x1 MIDI input and output support external MIDI keyboards, controllers, and sound modules. Studio One Artist, Studio Magic, and Capture Duo were supplied with the original bundle, making it an integrated entry point for computer- and iPad-based recording workflows.

  • 24-Bit/96 kHz Audio: Supports detailed recording and playback at professional resolutions.
  • Two Combo Inputs: Connect microphones, instruments, and balanced line-level sources.
  • Class A Mic Preamps: Provide gain and +48V phantom power for microphones.
  • Direct Analog Monitoring: Blends input and playback for latency-free monitoring.
  • Complete Recording Bundle: Includes M7 microphone, HD7 headphones, cables, and software.

Design & Installation

The AudioBox iTwo uses a compact blue metal chassis designed for desktop and portable use, with a Kensington lock hole for added physical security. Its front-panel combo inputs, gain controls, source switches, signal/clip indicators, and monitoring controls keep primary recording adjustments within reach. The M7 condenser microphone and HD7 headphones complete the hardware package for immediate personal recording and monitoring.

Connect the AudioBox iTwo to a computer with the supplied USB cable, then connect the M7 to either XLR input and enable +48V phantom power only when required for the condenser microphone. Plug guitars or passive basses into the 1/4-inch inputs with Instrument mode selected, and use Line mode for line-level devices such as keyboards. Connect HD7 headphones to the 1/4-inch headphone jack, or connect powered monitors to the balanced main outputs; iPad operation requires appropriate Apple connection and power accessories.
