The KRK RP7G4WN-NA ROKIT 7 G4 is a single powered near-field studio monitor finished in White Noise. It is designed for music production, mixing, editing, and critical listening where a dedicated monitor can provide a more controlled reference than typical consumer speakers. Its built-in amplification lets it connect directly to an audio interface, mixer, monitor controller, or other line-level source.

This two-way monitor combines a low-frequency driver and a 1-inch high-frequency driver in a bi-amplified system. The stated 42 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response and 110 dB maximum SPL support detailed near-field monitoring across a broad working range. A front-firing port helps make placement more practical on desks and in rooms where rear-wall clearance is limited.

DSP-driven room tuning gives the RP7G4WN-NA 25 EQ voicing combinations for adapting its response to common room and placement effects. Low-frequency shelf and parametric options address wall proximity and desk-related buildup, while high-frequency shelf and parametric options provide additional tonal adjustment. An onboard LCD and rear-panel encoder provide direct access to volume, EQ, and monitor setup settings.

KRK uses matching Kevlar driver materials in the ROKIT G4 design, paired with a custom Class D power amplifier rated at 145 watts total. The monitor also includes a brickwall limiter and protection circuitry for amplifier overdrive, overheating, and AC power surges. An optimized high-frequency waveguide and low-resonance enclosure are intended to support focused near-field listening.

The RP7G4WN-NA is sold as one powered monitor, so a stereo setup requires two units and separate signal feeds for left and right channels. It is a practical fit for a desktop production setup, a small control room, or an upgrade from compact multimedia speakers. Optional KRK grilles are available separately for the ROKIT 7 G4 if driver protection is needed.

Key Features

  • 145-Watt Bi-Amplified System: Built-in Class D amplification powers the monitor without an external amplifier.
  • DSP Room Tuning: Twenty-five EQ combinations help address common room and placement effects.
  • Onboard LCD Controls: View and adjust EQ, input level, standby, and display settings.
  • Front-Firing Port: Supports flexible placement while extending low-frequency performance.
  • Kevlar Driver Design: Matching driver materials support a consistent voicing across the system.
  • Balanced Combo Input: Accepts balanced XLR or 1/4-inch TRS connections from studio equipment.

Design & Installation

The White Noise cabinet uses a front-ported, low-resonance design with a magnetically attached front baffle and an EVA foam cushion on the bottom. The foam helps decouple the monitor from a desk or stand surface. The front KRK logo illumination can be set to on, dim, or off from the setup menu.

For stereo monitoring, use two monitors, place them roughly 3 to 5 feet apart, and aim them toward the listening position to form an equilateral triangle. Position the acoustic axis near ear height, use balanced XLR or 1/4-inch TRS cabling when possible, and match the input level on both monitors. Connect all audio equipment before powering the monitor, then use the onboard EQ after evaluating placement in the room.
