Gretsch G2622T Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar with Bigsby

The Gretsch G2622T Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut is a right-handed, six-string electric guitar finished in Dark Denim. It combines a 16-inch double-cut maple body with a chambered center block for players who want semi-hollow character in an amplified electric-guitar format. The double-cut design also provides access to the upper frets.

This model is suited to guitarists who need one instrument for clean, overdriven, and rhythm-focused parts. Its two Broad'Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups provide a full electric-guitar voice, while individual pickup volumes, master tone, and master volume controls allow practical adjustment from the guitar. A three-position toggle selects bridge, both, or neck pickup operation.

The chambered center block is designed to add attack and sustain while helping manage feedback compared with a fully hollow construction. The arched laminated maple top and back, 1.75-inch body depth, and 16-inch body width create the platform for its semi-hollow response. Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups use a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets.

A push/pull master-volume control splits the humbucking pickups for an alternate single-coil-style operating mode. This expands the available control options without requiring external switching hardware. The Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece adds manual pitch modulation for chord, lead, and texture work.

The G2622T fits naturally with a guitar amplifier, pedalboard, recording interface, or live backline that accepts a standard electric-guitar output. Its 24.75-inch scale, Soft "C" nato neck, 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard, and 22 medium-jumbo frets provide familiar electric-guitar playing dimensions. Optional Gretsch hardshell and hollow-body gig bag solutions are available separately.

Design & Installation

The G2622T uses an arched laminated maple top and back, laminated maple body construction, and a chambered center block. Its gloss Dark Denim finish is paired with aged-white binding and black/white/black purfling, nickel hardware, a three-ply tortoise pickguard, and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. The set nato neck has a gloss finish, Soft "C" profile, aged-white binding, bone nut, and laurel fingerboard.

No vehicle installation or external power wiring is applicable because this is a passive electric guitar. For amplified use, connect its output to a compatible guitar amplifier, pedal chain, or recording interface with an appropriate instrument cable, then select the desired pickup position and set the individual and master controls. A G2622T hardshell case and G2162 hollow-body gig bag are optional accessories rather than included items.
