The PLATINUM GUITAR-20 uses a 20 AWG oxygen-free copper center conductor and low-capacitance cable construction. Its specified capacitance is 21.4 pF per foot at 1 kHz, helping preserve signal detail across the full 20-foot run. A conductive PVC layer is used to reduce handling-related noise when the cable is moved.

Mogami pairs the cable with Neutrik 1/4-inch TS plugs, including a Neutrik silentPLUG connection. The silentPLUG is designed to reduce pops and squeals associated with plugging or unplugging an instrument under load. Gold-plated contacts and shielding are included as part of the cable assembly.

Design & Installation

The cable uses a black PVC outer jacket over a composite braid shield, conductive PVC sub-shield, cellular polyethylene insulation, and a conductive polyethylene layer. The complete cable has an 8.0 mm outer diameter, while the internal 20 AWG OFC conductor uses a 50-strand, 0.12 mm strand construction. Connect either straight 1/4-inch TS plug to a compatible unbalanced instrument jack, pedalboard input or output, amplifier input, DI, or other 1/4-inch TS device.
