Mogami PLATINUM GUITAR-40 40' Instrument Cable

The Mogami PLATINUM GUITAR-40 is a 40-foot instrument cable made for connecting electric guitars, basses, keyboards, and other compatible instruments with 1/4-inch TS outputs. Its extended length gives players room to move on stage or route an instrument signal across a studio space. Both ends use straight 1/4-inch TS male connectors for a conventional instrument-to-amplifier or instrument-to-pedal-chain connection.

This cable is intended for players who need a long unbalanced instrument lead while maintaining a quiet, dependable signal path. Its low-capacitance design is engineered to preserve high-frequency content over longer cable runs. The cable uses a 20 AWG oxygen-free copper conductor and a high-density copper spiral shield.

One end is fitted with a Neutrik Silent Plug connector, identifiable by its red sleeve. This connector is designed to reduce popping noises when disconnecting or changing instruments while the connected system is active. For proper use of the silent feature, connect the Silent Plug end to the instrument.

Mogami builds the Platinum series with precision cellular polyethylene insulation, conductive PVC, and a PVC outer jacket. The conductive PVC layer helps reduce handling noise, while the shielded construction helps reject interference in typical live and recording environments. Design & Installation

The PLATINUM GUITAR-40 uses a black PVC jacket over a large-diameter, flexible cable construction. Inside are an oxygen-free copper core, precision cellular polyethylene insulation, conductive PVC, and a 100% copper spiral shield. The result is a shielded instrument cable designed to limit handling noise and external interference.

Connect the red-sleeved Neutrik Silent Plug end to the guitar, bass, keyboard, or other compatible instrument, then connect the remaining straight 1/4-inch TS plug to an amplifier, pedalboard, DI input, or other compatible unbalanced instrument input. Confirm that both connected devices use 1/4-inch TS instrument connections. Coil the cable loosely after use and avoid sharply bending or pinching the connectors or cable jacket.
