An ultra-high-density copper spiral shield provides 100 percent coverage around the signal conductor. Conductive PVC is used to help reduce handling noise when the cable is moved during playing or setup. The GUITAR-30R uses G&H copper-core plugs with gold-plated contacts. One connector is right-angled and the other is straight, allowing the cable to be oriented according to the jack location and available clearance. This R version does not include a Neutrik Silent Plug, so it should not be treated as a silent hot-swap cable.

Design & Installation

The PLATINUM GUITAR-30R combines an oxygen-free copper conductor, cellular polyethylene insulation, conductive PVC, and a full-coverage copper spiral shield. Its G&H copper-core connectors have gold-plated contacts, with a right-angle plug at one end and a straight plug at the other. The cable is specified as 20 AWG and has a black outer finish.

Connect the 1/4-inch TS plugs between compatible unbalanced instrument jacks, such as a guitar output and an amplifier, effects pedal, or instrument input. Use the right-angle end where jack clearance or cable routing benefits from a lower-profile plug, and use the straight end at the remaining connection. This is an instrument cable and should not be used in place of a speaker cable between an amplifier head and speaker cabinet.
