Mogami GOLD INSTRUMENT-18R 18' Right-Angle Instrument Cable

The Mogami GOLD INSTRUMENT-18R is an 18-foot unbalanced instrument cable designed for electric guitar, bass, pedalboard, and other high-impedance 1/4-inch TS connections. It uses one straight plug and one right-angle plug, providing a practical option where a low-profile connection is helpful at the instrument, pedal, or amplifier. The cable is intended to carry an instrument-level signal between compatible devices.

This cable is suited to players building a dependable guitar-to-amp or guitar-to-pedalboard connection for rehearsal, recording, or performance use. Mogami builds the Gold Instrument series around its W2524 instrument cable, a single-conductor, shielded cable made for high-impedance applications. The oxygen-free copper conductor and relatively low cable capacitance support clear signal transfer over the cable run. A conductive carbon-PVC sub-shield is included to reduce noise created when the cable is handled or flexed.

The cable's served shield helps reject externally induced electrical interference in typical studio, rehearsal, and stage environments. Design & Installation

The GOLD INSTRUMENT-18R uses a black PVC jacket over a polyethylene-insulated oxygen-free copper conductor, conductive carbon-PVC sub-shield, and served shield. The bulk W2524 cable has a 6.0 mm outer diameter and is designed for flexible instrument-cable use. One end is straight and the other is right angle, with gold-contact 1/4-inch TS plugs.

Connect the cable between an electric guitar, bass, pedal, pedalboard, or other compatible unbalanced instrument source and an instrument-level input. Choose the right-angle end for the jack location where reduced plug projection is most useful, then route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinch points, and foot traffic. Use proper over-under coiling when storing the cable, and use a dedicated speaker cable rather than this instrument cable for amplifier-to-cabinet connections.
