The Mogami GOLD INSTRUMENT-25 is a 25-foot unbalanced instrument cable for connecting an electric guitar, bass, keyboard, or effects device to an amplifier, pedalboard, or compatible audio input. It uses straight 1/4-inch TS male connectors at both ends for traditional instrument-cable connections. This cable is built around Mogami 2524 high-impedance instrument cable, using a 20 AWG oxygen-free copper center conductor. Its low-capacitance construction is intended to help retain the character of passive instrument pickups over a longer cable run. It is designed for musicians and audio users who want a durable, shielded cable for regular performance or recording use.

A conductive carbon-PVC sub-shield is used to reduce handling-related noise caused by movement and flexing. The cable also uses a high-density served shield to help limit interference around unbalanced instrument signals. Design & Installation

The GOLD INSTRUMENT-25 uses a 6.0 mm black PVC outer jacket, polyethylene insulation, a conductive PVC sub-shield, and a served shield made with oxygen-free copper strands. Its 20 AWG center conductor is constructed from 50 strands of 0.12 mm oxygen-free copper. Straight TS plugs at both ends have gold-plated contacts and a black epoxy finish.

Connect one end to a guitar, bass, keyboard, pedal output, or other 1/4-inch TS instrument output, then connect the other end to a compatible amplifier, pedal input, DI box, or instrument input. Route the cable away from AC adapters, power transformers, and high-current power wiring when possible. Coil it loosely after use and avoid using it as a speaker-level cable.
