Mogami GOLD INST SILENT R 25 25' Silent Instrument Cable

The Mogami GOLD INST SILENT R 25 is a 25-foot unbalanced instrument cable built for guitars, basses, keyboards, pedals, and other equipment using 1/4-inch TS connections. It combines a right-angle Neutrik Silent Plug at one end with a straight Neutrik connector at the other. The Silent Plug is designed to reduce switching noise when disconnecting or connecting an instrument.

This cable is well suited to players who need a longer stage or studio run while keeping a low-capacitance instrument connection. Its right-angle end can be useful at recessed or side-mounted instrument jacks where a straight connector may protrude farther. The straight end provides a conventional connection for an amplifier, pedalboard, or compatible input.

Mogami builds this assembly with its 2524 instrument cable, which uses a #20 AWG oxygen-free copper center conductor. The cable's 130 pF/m capacitance specification helps make it appropriate for high-impedance instrument signals. A conductive PVC sub-shield is used to help control handling-related noise in moving cable applications.

The cable uses a served shield around the signal path for coverage against external interference. Its black PVC outer jacket has a 6.0 mm outside diameter, balancing protection with practical flexibility. The internal construction is rated for repeated flexing and is intended for instrument-cable use rather than speaker-level wiring.

For a guitar or bass setup, place the red right-angle Silent Plug end at the instrument and connect the straight end to a pedal, amplifier, or other compatible 1/4-inch TS input. Design & Installation

The GOLD INST SILENT R 25 uses black Mogami 2524 cable with a PE dielectric, conductive carbon-PVC sub-shield, served main shield, and PVC jacket. Its center conductor is oxygen-free copper, while the cable jacket measures 6.0 mm in outside diameter. One end uses a 1/4-inch TS right-angle Neutrik Silent Plug, and the other uses a 1/4-inch TS straight Neutrik connector with a gold-plated contact.

Connect the right-angle Silent Plug end to the instrument side and the straight end to a compatible 1/4-inch TS input on a pedal, amplifier, keyboard, or other unbalanced instrument device. Route the cable away from power cords where practical and avoid sharp bends or pinching under equipment. This is a mono TS instrument cable, so both connected devices should use compatible unbalanced 1/4-inch TS connections.
