Its Neutrik Silent Plug helps prevent the loud switching pop that can occur when unplugging an instrument from a live signal chain.

One end uses a straight Neutrik Silent Plug with a red identifying finish, while the other uses a standard straight Neutrik 1/4-inch TS connector. The silent end is intended for the instrument side of the connection.

The GOLD INST SILENT S 25 uses Mogami 2524 coaxial instrument cable with a black PVC outer jacket, clear polyethylene insulation, conductive carbon-PVC sub-shield, and served spiral shield. Its oxygen-free copper center conductor is paired with Neutrik 1/4-inch TS connector components. The Silent Plug end is marked in red for quick identification.

Connect the red Silent Plug end to the instrument output, then connect the standard straight plug to an amplifier input, pedal input, or other compatible unbalanced 1/4-inch TS input. It is intended for instrument-level mono connections and should not be used in place of a speaker cable between an amplifier head and passive speaker cabinet.
