Arturia KEYLAB 88 MK3 BLACK 88-Key MIDI Controller

The Arturia KeyLab 88 mk3 is an 88-key universal MIDI controller built for players who want a piano-style keyboard alongside hands-on software and hardware control. Its fully weighted Fatar TP/110 hammer-action keybed gives pianists, composers, and producers a more familiar playing surface than compact controller keyboards. As a MIDI controller, it is designed to send performance and control data to compatible computers, DAWs, virtual instruments, and external MIDI gear.

The full-size keybed supports velocity and aftertouch, allowing playing dynamics and pressure-based expression to be captured by compatible sounds. Pitch and modulation wheels add familiar real-time control for instrument performance. Twelve velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads provide an additional way to trigger notes, drums, samples, clips, or assigned MIDI functions.

A 3.5-inch full-color display provides visual feedback for sound browsing, parameter control, and DAW operation. Nine touch-sensitive rotary encoders, nine 50 mm faders, transport switches, command switches, and contextual buttons keep commonly used controls within reach. The controller also includes Scale mode, Chord mode, a multi-mode arpeggiator, and Hold for composition and performance workflows.

KeyLab 88 mk3 is designed to integrate with Analog Lab V and Arturia V Collection instruments, with preset browsing and smart-assigned controls. It also supports integration with Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Bitwig Studio, MainStage, and MCU/HUI-compatible workflows. NKS compatibility extends its use with the Native Instruments ecosystem.

USB-C provides computer connectivity, MIDI over USB, and bus power, while 5-pin MIDI DIN connections support compatible external MIDI instruments. Four pedal-capable control inputs accommodate sustain, modulation, expression, and auxiliary control assignments. A supplied laptop plate and sheet music holder help make the controller a practical centerpiece for studio, composing, and performance setups.

KeyLab 88 mk3 uses a robust cabinet with high-density plastic, ruggedized controls, and real-wood side panelling. Its black finish, full-size keybed, integrated display, and organized control sections suit a fixed studio workstation or a stage keyboard rig. The controller measures 50.98 inches wide and weighs 34.61 pounds, so a stable keyboard stand or desk surface is recommended.

Connect the included USB-C-to-USB-A cable to a compatible computer for power, MIDI communication, and access to Arturia MIDI Control Center. Connect external MIDI instruments through the 5-pin DIN MIDI ports, and add compatible pedals as needed for sustain, modulation, expression, or auxiliary control. Register the unit to access the included software, then select the appropriate integration profile or user preset for the DAW and instruments in use.
