At the center of the pack is the ZUM-2 USB microphone, a back electret condenser design with a supercardioid pickup pattern. Its focused pattern is intended to prioritize the person speaking into the front of the microphone while reducing off-axis room sound. The microphone supports recording at up to 24-bit/96 kHz for detailed computer-based capture.

The ZUM-2 includes a 3.5 mm headphone output and a dedicated volume control for listening to computer audio through the mic. The included ZHP-2 closed-back headphones provide isolation for monitoring while recording. Their 40 mm neodymium drivers, 68-ohm impedance, and 3-meter cable suit desktop listening and voice-production sessions.

For placement, the included TPS-4 tabletop tripod provides a compact, height-adjustable base for the microphone. Design & Installation

The ZUM-2 uses a sturdy cylindrical microphone housing with a Type-C computer connection, 3.5 mm headphone output, and front-panel headphone-volume control. The supplied TPS-4 tripod has a metal-threaded connector, collapsible legs, and rubber feet for stable tabletop use. The package also includes a pivoting microphone mount and a custom-fitted foam windscreen.

Attach the ZUM-2 to the pivoting mount and TPS-4 tripod, then position the microphone so its front faces the speaker. Connect the included 2-meter USB Type-C to Type-A cable from the microphone to a compatible PC or Mac, then select ZUM-2 as the input and output device in the computer sound settings. Plug the included headphones into the microphone's 3.5 mm output when direct monitoring of computer audio is desired.
