The Shure SUPER 55 is a wired dynamic vocal microphone that combines a classic stand-mounted profile with focused, modern vocal performance. Design & Installation

The SUPER 55 has a chrome-plated die-cast body, redesigned nameplate, blue foam windscreen, and an internal shock-mounted cartridge. Its substantial metal construction is paired with an integrated, self-tensioning swivel mount rather than a conventional handheld-style body and external clip. The result is a microphone intended to remain on a stand while providing a vintage-inspired focal point for a performance or recording space.

Mount the microphone to a compatible stand using its 5/8-27 threaded connection, or use the included 5/8-inch to 3/8-inch adapter where needed. Connect it to a compatible microphone input with a standard 3-pin XLR cable; Shure lists the 25-foot C25J XLR-to-XLR cable as an optional accessory. Aim the front of the microphone toward the performer and use the swivel mount to set a comfortable vocal position while keeping monitor speakers out of the primary pickup area.
