Shure MV7i Smart Microphone & Audio Interface
$389.00
Mogami PLATINUM STUDIO 12 12' XLR Microphone Cable
$134.95
The Shure MV7i is a dynamic USB-C microphone with a built-in audio interface for recording, podcasting, streaming, and voice-focused content creation. It connects directly to a computer, tablet, or compatible smartphone, reducing the need for separate interface hardware. Its integrated second input lets one compact device capture two audio sources at once.
The MV7i is designed for creators who need clear, close-miked speech in home studios, offices, and other less-controlled spaces. Its unidirectional cardioid dynamic element uses Shure Voice Isolation Technology to focus on the person speaking while helping reduce surrounding sound. The 50 Hz to 16 kHz response is tailored for natural vocal reproduction.
A rear combo input accepts an additional XLR microphone or a 1/4-inch TS/TRS instrument or line-level connection. This supports two-channel workflows for a host and guest, a vocalist and instrument, or other compact recording setups. The built-in interface provides up to +60 dB of input gain and +48 V phantom power for connected XLR microphones.
Shure MOTIV Mix and compatible MOTIV mobile apps provide access to DSP and channel controls. Available processing includes Auto Level Mode with SmartGate, real-time denoising, Digital Popper Stopper, tone adjustment, EQ, compression, limiting, high-pass filtering, and adjustable reverb. Speech-oriented Auto Level, denoise, and pop filtering are disabled when a 1/4-inch instrument input is detected.
The MV7i fits easily into a desktop or boom-mounted recording system through its integrated adjustable yoke and standard 5/8-inch-27 mount. A 3.5 mm headphone output provides zero-latency monitoring of the microphone, connected input, and computer playback mix. USB-C connectivity carries both channels to the host device at up to 24-bit/48 kHz resolution.
Key Features
- Microphone and Interface in One: Records the built-in microphone and a second connected source without requiring a separate audio interface.
- Dynamic Cardioid Capsule: Uses a directional moving-coil element designed to prioritize nearby speech and vocals.
- Combo XLR/1/4-Inch Input: Connects a second XLR microphone, instrument, or compatible line-level source.
- Advanced Speech DSP: Provides Auto Level Mode, SmartGate, denoising, pop filtering, EQ, dynamics processing, and reverb controls.
- Customizable LED Touch Panel: Displays metering or color effects and provides touch-to-mute control for either channel.
- Zero-Latency Headphone Monitoring: Lets users monitor both audio inputs and computer playback through the 3.5 mm output.
Design & Installation
The MV7i uses a diecast aluminum housing with an all-metal exterior and an adjustable integrated yoke. Its physical layout places the USB-C output, 3.5 mm headphone output, and XLR/1/4-inch combo input on the microphone body for a consolidated recording setup. The LED touch panel can be configured in combined or split channel display modes through MOTIV Mix.
Mount the MV7i on a standard 5/8-inch-27 microphone stand or boom arm, using the included Euro stand adapter when needed. Connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable to a compatible host device, then connect headphones for monitoring and an optional second microphone or instrument to the combo input. Use MOTIV Mix Desktop or compatible MOTIV mobile apps to select recording mode, adjust channel levels, configure DSP, and customize the LED panel.
