Rockford Fosgate DSR1 8-Channel Digital Signal Processor
$419.99
AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit
$78.00
The Rockford Fosgate DSR1 is an 8-channel digital signal processor and amplifier-replacement interface designed for integrating aftermarket amplifiers with factory or aftermarket radios. It accepts high-level and low-level signals, allowing it to serve as the tuning and signal-routing center of a multi-amplifier audio upgrade. The integrated iDatalink Maestro module also supports vehicle-specific integration when used with the required programming and compatible T-harness.
This processor is intended for vehicle owners who want more control over an upgraded sound system without automatically replacing the factory radio. Its eight RCA outputs can be configured for front, spare, rear, and subwoofer channels, making it suitable for active speaker systems, multi-way front stages, rear fill, and subwoofer amplification. In its default universal configuration, the subwoofer outputs sum all four input channels.
The DSR1 is built around digital signal processing with 245 bands of equalization for detailed system adjustment. Adjustable high-pass, low-pass, band-pass, all-pass, and fixed Linkwitz-Riley crossover functions help divide frequencies appropriately between speakers and subwoofers. Per-channel delay of up to 10 milliseconds supports time-alignment adjustments for a more cohesive listening position.
Rockford Fosgate uses the PerfectTune app for initial setup, configuration, and audio tuning from compatible Apple and Android devices. Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity supports the wireless app connection, while a micro-USB setup and update port supports programming and firmware updates. The processor also includes auxiliary RCA and SPDIF coaxial inputs for additional source flexibility.
The DSR1 fits between the source unit and aftermarket amplifiers, delivering up to 4V RMS through its eight RCA outputs. It can be used in universal high-level or low-level installations, or programmed for select Maestro-supported vehicle applications. This makes it a practical signal-management component for retaining a factory radio while adding external amplification and customized tuning.
Key Features
- 8-Channel RCA Outputs: Supports front, spare, rear, and subwoofer signal paths for multi-amplifier systems.
- Integrated Maestro Module: Enables vehicle-specific integration when properly flashed and paired with a compatible T-harness.
- 245-Band Equalization: Provides detailed tonal adjustment for aftermarket system tuning.
- Adjustable Crossovers: Helps route appropriate frequency ranges to each speaker or subwoofer channel.
- PerfectTune App Control: Allows configuration and tuning from compatible iOS and Android devices.
- Flexible Signal Inputs: Accepts high-level, balanced differential RCA, auxiliary RCA, and SPDIF coaxial signals.
Design & Installation
The DSR1 uses a compact behind-dash design measuring 1.26 by 4.04 by 5.12 inches. Rockford Fosgate specifies dedicated 18-pin analog input and 16-pin analog output harness connections, a status indicator, input-level switch, USB setup port, and expansion port. The manufacturer does not publish an enclosure-material specification.
For universal installations, connect the processor to a factory radio through high-level inputs or to an aftermarket radio through low-level inputs, then route its RCA outputs to aftermarket amplifiers. Vehicle-specific Maestro integration requires web programming and a compatible vehicle-specific T-harness, which is sold separately. The optional PLC2 level controller can also be connected for assignable control functions.

Will the DSR1 work with a factory radio?
Yes. It can accept four high-level inputs from a factory radio and supports signal-sense turn-on. For select vehicle-specific Maestro applications, it must be flashed with the appropriate firmware and used with a compatible T-harness.
Does it work with an aftermarket radio?
Yes. The DSR1 supports four balanced differential RCA inputs for low-level aftermarket-radio connections. It then supplies up to eight RCA outputs to aftermarket amplifiers.
Is a vehicle-specific T-harness included?
No. A vehicle-specific Maestro T-harness is required for vehicle-specific integration and is sold separately. Universal high-level and low-level installations do not use that vehicle-specific harness.
Can I tune the DSR1 from my phone?
Yes. The Rockford Fosgate PerfectTune app supports setup, configuration, and tuning through Bluetooth 4.0. Compatible devices include iOS 10.0 or later and Android Oreo 8.0 or later.
What accessories are included or optional?
A micro-USB-to-USB cable is included for setup and programming. A compatible vehicle T-harness and the optional PLC2 level controller are sold separately.
Does the DSR1 replace an amplifier?
No. It is a signal processor and amplifier-replacement interface, not a power amplifier. Aftermarket amplifiers are still needed to power upgraded speakers and subwoofers.
