The Audison Forza AF M1D is a compact mono Class D amplifier designed to add dedicated subwoofer power to a car audio system. It delivers a single amplified channel with stable operation down to a 1-ohm load, making it suitable for a range of single- and dual-voice-coil subwoofer configurations. Its combination of low-level and high-level inputs supports both aftermarket and factory-source integration.
For systems that need stronger low-frequency output without adding excessive bulk, the AF M1D provides 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 1,000 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and 1,200 watts RMS at 1 ohm. These ratings are specified at 14.4 VDC and 1% THD. The mono layout keeps the amplifier focused on subwoofer duty while allowing the rest of the system to be powered separately.
Audison uses its latest-generation D-Class technology in the AF M1D, with higher switching frequency operation, a fourth-order analog low-pass filtering approach, and high-tolerance components. The design is intended to keep switching noise away from the audible range while maintaining controlled bass reproduction. Its 10 Hz to 500 Hz bandwidth is tailored to low-frequency amplification and subwoofer system use.
The AF M1D can work as a companion amplifier in an Audison Forza bit system or as a standalone subwoofer amplifier. Manual controls include a selectable full-range or low-pass mode, adjustable low-pass filtering, phase adjustment, and adjustable 45 Hz bass boost. This gives an installer practical setup flexibility when adding bass to an existing system.
Factory-radio upgrades are supported through speaker-level inputs, Universal Speaker Simulator loading, and ART automatic remote turn-on capability. Preamp inputs are also available for systems using an aftermarket receiver or processor. At 240 x 47 x 156 mm, the AF M1D is sized for installations where available amplifier space is limited.
Key Features
- Mono Class D Output: Delivers dedicated power for a subwoofer channel.
- 1-Ohm Stable Design: Supports loads down to 1 ohm.
- High-Level Inputs: Integrates with factory speaker-level audio signals.
- Universal Speaker Simulator: Helps maintain compatibility with OEM head units.
- Adjustable Low-Pass Filter: Sets the subwoofer’s upper frequency range.
- Standalone Controls: Includes phase and bass-boost adjustment for setup flexibility.
Design & Installation
The AF M1D uses a compact, installation-conscious chassis and Audison D-Class engineering that combines high power density with a 1.95 kg amplifier weight. High-tolerance components and fourth-order analog output filtering are part of its signal-stage design. The compact 240 x 47 x 156 mm dimensions make it practical for many concealed amplifier locations while still requiring suitable ventilation.
Use the AF M1D with a subwoofer system presenting a final impedance no lower than 1 ohm, and match the wiring arrangement to the amplifier’s rated output at that load. It accepts RCA preamp signals or speaker-level signals, allowing integration with aftermarket receivers, factory radios, or a separate processor. The supplied labeled speaker-output cable supports connection of a single-voice-coil or dual-voice-coil subwoofer, or two subwoofers; professional installation is recommended for power, grounding, fuse protection, and gain setup.
