Design & Installation

The PBR300X2 uses a compact extruded aluminum heatsink with convection cooling and a MOSFET output stage. Power/Protect and Boosted Rail indicators provide operating-status feedback. Protection circuitry is specified to shut the amplifier down for overheating, very low impedance, or shorted speaker wiring.

Mount the amplifier in a dry, ventilated location with access to its wiring and controls. Use 10 AWG power and ground wiring as recommended, install the specified 30A external battery fuse close to the battery, and keep the ground connection short and secure. Use a 2-ohm-or-higher stereo load or a 4-ohm bridged load, then set the crossover and input level for the connected speakers and source unit.
