AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit $78.00
Bundle total: $1,077.99

The Hertz VENEZIAV1 is a one-channel marine amplifier designed to power a subwoofer in 12-volt boat and marine-audio systems. It provides a dedicated low-frequency amplification channel with RMS output ratings up to 1260 watts at 2 or 1 ohm. This makes it suitable for systems that need substantial bass output while retaining adjustable crossover and level controls.

At 14.4 VDC and 1% THD, the amplifier is rated for 700 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 1260 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and 1260 watts RMS at 1 ohm. Its 1-ohm minimum load capability gives installers flexibility when matching a compatible marine subwoofer or multiple subwoofers. The 10 to 500 Hz bandwidth and variable low-pass filter are tailored to subwoofer duty.

Hertz uses its Advanced Class D architecture in the VENEZIAV1 to provide high output with efficient operation. The amplifier uses balanced, fully differential input circuitry intended to reject electromagnetic noise and interference. A variable phase adjustment, subsonic filter, and bass boost control allow the subwoofer response to be tuned for the vessel and enclosure.

The VENEZIAV1 is engineered for marine applications and is specified with IPX2 certification. Its marine-focused construction includes corrosion-resistant epoxy-coated PCB boards, a cast heat-sink chassis, and fanless convection cooling. Hertz also lists testing for UV exposure, salt fog, vibration, temperature extremes, and thermal shock.

This monoblock amplifier fits into a system using RCA preamp signal connections and can pass a filtered high-pass signal through its pre-out connection. The filter section can be bypassed when an external processor is handling system tuning. For convenient bass-level adjustment from the listening position, it supports the optional Hertz HRC BM2 subwoofer remote volume control.

Key Features

  • Mono Subwoofer Output: Delivers up to 1260 watts RMS to a compatible low-impedance subwoofer load.
  • 1-Ohm Stable Design: Supports speaker loads down to 1 ohm for flexible subwoofer wiring.
  • Advanced Class D Architecture: Provides efficient high-output amplification for a 12-volt marine system.
  • Marine-Focused Construction: Uses epoxy-coated circuit boards and an IPX2-certified design.
  • Variable Filter Controls: Includes low-pass, subsonic, phase, and bass-boost adjustments for system tuning.
  • Fanless Heat Management: Uses a cast heat sink and convection cooling without a cooling fan.

Design & Installation

The VENEZIAV1 uses a compact aluminum heat-sink chassis with fanless convection cooling and protected top-mounted controls. Its PCB construction is designed to resist corrosion agents in marine environments, while Safe-Lock input, output, and power connections are intended to support durable field installation. The amplifier also includes automatic short-circuit, overload, and thermal protection.

Install the amplifier in a securely mounted, ventilated location and use it only with a 9 to 16 VDC electrical system. Match the connected subwoofer wiring to the 1-ohm minimum load requirement, set gain and filter controls during system calibration, and use the recommended 60 A external power fuse. RCA pre-in connections are required for source signal input, while the optional HRC BM2 can provide remote subwoofer-level adjustment.
