Audison BIT ONE HD Virtuoso 13-Channel DSP

The Audison BIT ONE HD Virtuoso is a car-audio digital signal processor designed to integrate, route, and tune complex OEM or aftermarket audio systems. It accepts high-level, low-level, auxiliary, and optical digital sources, then provides configurable analog and digital outputs for external amplifiers. It is intended for systems that need more control than a factory radio or amplifier can provide on its own.

With 24-bit/96 kHz internal floating-point processing, the processor supports detailed adjustment of signal routing, equalization, crossover points, phase, and time alignment. Its 13-channel architecture gives installers flexibility for active front stages, rear channels, center channels, and subwoofer applications. The analog preamp outputs provide up to 4 V RMS for connection to compatible amplifiers.

The BIT ONE HD Virtuoso is especially suited to retaining a factory head unit while correcting its signal behavior and adapting it to a higher-performance amplified system. Twelve speaker-level inputs support multichannel OEM systems, while six master pre-input channels and a stereo AUX input accommodate aftermarket or auxiliary analog sources. Two optical S/PDIF inputs accept PCM audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit.

Its tuning platform includes automatic de-equalization, delay compensation, all-pass compensation, polarity checking, selectable IIR or FIR operating modes, and comprehensive crossover controls. Per-channel equalization and time alignment help an installer account for speaker placement and vehicle acoustics. Dynamic equalization and adjustable bass boost are also available through the processor setup.

For Audison digital-system builds, the BIT ONE HD Virtuoso can feed compatible amplifiers through AD Link digital outputs and manage them through AC Link connections. It can also operate conventionally through its RCA pre-outs, making it appropriate for mixed analog and digital amplifier systems. The included DRC MP controller adds convenient in-vehicle access to supported volume, source, and system functions.

Design & Installation

The BIT ONE HD Virtuoso uses a compact, processor-focused chassis with dedicated connections for power, remote control, analog inputs, optical inputs, RCA outputs, AD Link, AC Link, and PC setup. Its layout is designed around professional system integration rather than front-panel entertainment controls. The supplied DRC MP remote controller can be installed for accessible in-cabin operation.

Installation requires a 12 V vehicle electrical connection, proper grounding, a 2 A fuse, and configuration through a compatible Windows PC. High-level and pre-level master inputs are alternative connection methods, while the output scheme should be planned so the combined analog and AD Link channel assignment does not exceed 13 channels. Professional installation and calibration are recommended for factory-system integration, active crossovers, and digital-link amplifier setups.
