The Audison AF C4D is a compact four-channel Class D amplifier designed to add clean, substantial power to an upgraded car audio system. This flexibility allows it to run four speakers, a front speaker pair plus a bridged subwoofer, or other processor-managed channel configurations.

Audison D-Class technology uses a high switching frequency, steep output filtering, and tightly specified components to support wide-bandwidth performance in a compact amplifier. The AF C4D has a specified 10 Hz to 40 kHz bandwidth and is compatible with Hi-Res playback requirements. Its measured signal-to-noise ratio is rated at 102 dBA at 1 V.

The AF C4D uses a straight-wire architecture without built-in analog crossover filtering, placing crossover, equalization, and tuning duties with the connected DSP or source equipment. Design & Installation

The AF C4D is built in a compact, low-profile enclosure measuring 200 mm long, 134 mm wide, and 47 mm high. Its connection panel groups power, speaker-output, speaker-input, pre-input, level, remote, and optional remote-volume connections in one area. Status indicators provide power, clipping, thermal, load, voltage, and service information.

Install the amplifier with the supplied mounting screws in a secure location with suitable ventilation and use the specified 30 A fuse arrangement. It can receive a factory head unit's speaker-level signal through the included Speaker In harness or preamp signal through the included Pre In cables. Because the AF C4D has no adjustable crossover, use a DSP, processor, or source unit to establish crossover points and system tuning before operating speakers or subwoofers.
