The Rockford Fosgate P600X4 is a four-channel car amplifier designed to add clean, dedicated power to factory-replacement or upgraded speakers. Its flexible channel configuration also supports bridged operation when higher power is needed for compatible speakers.

Its 2-channel input mode can feed all four amplifier channels from a stereo signal, which can simplify integration with select source units. Class A/B amplification gives the P600X4 a full-range design intended for speaker and component-system use. The rated frequency response spans 20Hz to 20kHz, while independent front and rear crossover sections help direct the appropriate frequency range to each speaker group. This makes it easier to configure high-pass filtering for door speakers or low-pass filtering for a bridged woofer application.

Rockford Fosgate's C.L.E.A.N. setup system uses input and output clip indicators to assist with gain adjustment. This helps identify clipping at the source or amplifier during setup, allowing the installer to set levels with more information than a conventional gain control alone. The amplifier also includes front and rear Punch EQ controls for system tuning.

The P600X4 is built for conventional 12-volt vehicle electrical systems and uses a cast-aluminum heatsink with convection cooling. RCA pass-through outputs allow an additional amplifier to be added without splitting the source signal. Use the P600X4 for four full-range speakers, a two-channel stereo plus one bridged channel pair, or two bridged channel pairs within its stated impedance limits. It requires a separately purchased 100-amp fuse installed in the main power cable near the battery, and Rockford Fosgate specifies no lower than 2 ohms per stereo channel or 4 ohms bridged. Leave at least 1 inch of air space around the heatsink and do not install the amplifier in the engine compartment.
