The PreSonus StudioLive SE 24R is a 40-channel digital rack mixer designed for live sound, monitor mixing, installed systems, and multitrack recording. Its 2U, 19-inch rack format consolidates microphone inputs, flexible output routing, DSP processing, recording, and networking in one unit. It is suited to bands, venues, houses of worship, production providers, and studios that need substantial I/O without a full-size mixing console.
Twenty-four onboard XMAX-R recallable microphone preamps provide the analog front end for microphones, DI sources, and line-level equipment. The mixer supports a 0 to 60 dB preamp gain range and offers switchable +48V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones and active DI boxes. With 115 dB A-weighted ADC and DAC dynamic range, it is built to preserve detail through capture, processing, and playback.
Routing is a central strength of the StudioLive SE 24R. Sixteen FlexMixes can be configured for auxiliary, subgroup, or matrix duties, while four dedicated subgroups, four FX mixes, and 24 DCA groups help organize larger productions. This makes it practical for separate stage-monitor, in-ear-monitor, broadcast, recording, and front-of-house signal paths.
The integrated 64x64 USB 2.0 audio interface supports high-channel-count computer recording and playback, while the onboard SD recorder captures stereo WAV files without requiring a computer. Capture integration with Virtual Soundcheck supports playback-based rehearsal and mix refinement. Per-channel source switching between analog, USB, SD, and AVB sources helps simplify hybrid live-and-recording workflows.
Milan-certified AVB networking lets the StudioLive SE 24R operate within compatible StudioLive Series III systems, including console and stagebox configurations. Universal Control provides remote mixer control, and QMix-UC gives performers access to personal monitor-mix control. A perpetual Fender Studio Pro DAW license is included with product registration, providing a direct path from live capture to studio production.

Design & Installation
The StudioLive SE 24R uses a black 19-inch rackmount chassis measuring 3.5 inches high, 19 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. Its 3.5-inch height occupies two rack spaces, making it appropriate for portable racks, fixed installations, and monitor-control systems. Connectivity includes combo XLR/1/4-inch TRS mic/line inputs, balanced 1/4-inch TRS line outputs, XLR outputs, RCA stereo input, USB Type-B, AVB networking, and an RJ-45 control-network port.
Install the mixer in a properly supported 19-inch equipment rack with ventilation appropriate for the operating environment. Connect microphones and line sources to the combo inputs, route outputs to powered speakers, amplifiers, monitor transmitters, or other line-level equipment, and use USB for computer audio. For remote control or personal monitoring, connect the unit to a compatible network and use Universal Control or QMix-UC on supported devices.
