The Mackie ProFX12v3 is a 12-channel analog mixer designed for small live-sound rigs, recording setups, podcasts, streaming, and content production. The built-in GigFX engine provides 24 selectable effects presets, including reverb, delay, and chorus-style options. Four mono channels include single-knob compression with a variable threshold, helping manage changing vocal or instrument levels. A three-band EQ and 100 Hz low-cut filter on microphone-input channels provide practical tone-shaping tools.

Its USB interface supports high-resolution 24-bit audio at sample rates up to 192 kHz for connection to Mac or PC. The 2x4 USB I/O arrangement supports stereo recording and separate stereo playback returns, while the direct-monitor blend control helps avoid monitoring latency during overdubs. USB 3/4 return routing can be used for computer playback such as backing tracks, streamed audio, or game audio.

The ProFX12v3 fits naturally between source devices and powered speakers, power amplifiers, monitors, headphones, and a computer. It includes a dedicated monitor send, stereo subgroup routing, main outputs, control-room outputs, and a separate headphone level and blend control. Waveform OEM recording software is included to support a simple recording workflow after the mixer is connected to a compatible computer.
