The Mackie MobileMix is a compact 8-channel analog mixer designed for mobile A/V production, livestreaming, small live-sound setups, and content creation. It brings microphones, instruments, stereo sources, Bluetooth audio, and mobile devices into one controllable mix. USB power capability helps make it practical where conventional AC power is unavailable.

Two mic/instrument combo inputs accommodate microphones or direct-connected instruments, while dedicated Hi-Z switching supports guitar and bass connections on channels 1 and 2. MobileMix provides hands-on level control, 2-band EQ on channels 1 through 4, and a 100 Hz low-cut filter on the first two channels. Its onboard effects section includes Plate, Hall, and Reverb + Delay programs, with per-channel FX sends and a master effects level. This layout supports clear, manageable mixes without requiring a separate effects processor.

For phone, tablet, and camera workflows, the primary 3.5 mm TRRS connection can function as a line source or destination using standard hands-free protocols. Bi-directional Bluetooth with Mix Minus is designed for simultaneous streaming or recording without sending the returned signal back into the call or stream. A blend control lets users balance the eight mixer channels against the primary device source.

The mixer can feed powered speakers, amplifiers, headphones, recorders, and additional monitoring devices from its main, mix, and headphone outputs. A bottom compartment accepts a separately purchased USB power bank, and the angled device slot helps position a phone or tablet during a stream. It is a useful front end for compact PA, mobile video, podcast, and streaming systems that need multiple source types in a small footprint.

Design & Installation

MobileMix uses a compact desktop format with physical knobs, illuminated status indicators, rear-panel audio connections, and a built-in angled phone/tablet slot. The bottom panel includes a covered compartment sized for a compatible portable USB power bank, helping keep a mobile setup organized. Peak meters provide four LED indicators per side for checking mix level status.

Connect microphones or instruments to channels 1 and 2, line-level sources to the stereo inputs, and powered speakers or an amplifier to the 1/4-inch main outputs. Connect a phone, tablet, or camera to either 3.5 mm TRRS input as needed, then use the appropriate pad setting for the primary device. A separately purchased power bank must provide 5 V, 1.2 A and fit within the stated compartment dimensions.
