Its adaptive workflow is built for users at different experience levels. Easy, Enhanced, and Pro control modes change the touchscreen interface to provide a more guided or more detailed operating experience. Mix Agent technology assists with setup and sound checks, helping users establish usable input settings before recording or streaming.

Two Onyx80 microphone preamps provide up to 80 dB of gain for connected microphones. The mixer also includes AutoMix for managing microphone levels, plus onboard processing such as parametric EQ, noise gate, de-esser, compressor, reverb, and delay. These tools help maintain a controlled, intelligible presentation for spoken-word productions.

DLZ-CREATORXS supports computer-based recording and streaming through its USB-C connection, while direct multitrack recording to compatible microSD media or a USB-A drive enables a computer-free workflow. Bluetooth connectivity provides a stereo wireless source channel, and Mix Minus can be used with a Bluetooth-connected phone for call-in guests. Two independent headphone outputs support separate monitoring mixes for a host and guest.

DLZ-CREATORXS uses a compact desktop format with a 7-inch high-resolution full-color touchscreen featuring an anti-glare coating. Four dynamically color-coded rotary encoders, five LED-indicated potentiometers, and backlit mute, solo, and navigation buttons provide hands-on control alongside the display. The unit measures 10.2 inches wide by 8.0 inches deep and weighs 2.6 pounds.

Place the mixer on a stable desktop or production surface with clear access to its rear-panel connections. Connect microphones to the two XLR/TRS combo inputs, connect headphones to either independent headphone output, and use the balanced 1/4-inch main outputs for monitors or downstream equipment. For direct recording, use compatible microSDHC/microSDXC media or a FAT32-formatted USB-A removable drive meeting the stated speed requirement; connect the included-style external power supply requirement of 18V DC, 1.5A before use.
