It is designed for general DJ playback, mixing, scratch work, and back-cueing.

The MIX model uses a spherical diamond stylus and aluminum cantilever for durable groove contact and dependable handling. Its 6 mV output is intended for connection to a standard moving-magnet phono input with a 47 kOhm load. The sound character is designed for transparent, full-spectrum playback rather than specialized audiophile listening.

For performance use, the cartridge has a recommended tracking force of 3 g and a usable range of 2 to 4 g. Its 100 μm tracking ability at the recommended force supports stable playback during cueing and routine DJ handling. Proper tracking-force setup is important for maintaining groove contact and minimizing unnecessary record or stylus wear.

The Concorde body combines the cartridge and headshell into one direct-mount assembly. This bayonet-style format eliminates the separate cartridge-to-headshell mounting process required by conventional headshell cartridges. Ortofon specifies that no cartridge alignment is required when mounting the Concorde on a compatible tonearm.

This Twin package is a practical replacement or upgrade path for DJs using two compatible decks. When the original styli eventually wear, each cartridge accepts the Ortofon Stylus CC MKII Mix replacement stylus.

The included flight case provides organized storage for the pair, while the stylus guards help protect the tips when the cartridges are not in use.

Install each cartridge by attaching it directly to a compatible bayonet/SME-style tonearm connection, with the stylus guard fitted during mounting or removal. No separate cartridge alignment is required, but the tonearm counterweight should be adjusted to the specified 3 g tracking force and kept within the 2 to 4 g range. Use the supplied brush carefully from the rear of the cartridge toward the stylus tip, and avoid solvents when cleaning the stylus or records.
