The Hifonics Colossus Classic HCC-1700.4 is a four-channel car audio amplifier for adding substantially more power and tuning control than a head unit can provide alone. The HCC-1700.4 uses an aluminum heat sink to help manage heat from its MOSFET output section. Molded, angled power, ground, and speaker terminals support a more organized wiring layout.

Mount the amplifier to a secure surface with adequate ventilation and keep it upright rather than inverted. Use 4 AWG power and ground wiring, a properly sized 100A fuse, and 12 AWG speaker wiring as applicable to the installation. Set crossover points and input level controls after selecting the correct speaker impedance and stereo or bridged wiring mode; professional installation is advisable for complex systems.
