The Hifonics BXiPRO1.5 is a digital bass enhancement processor designed for vehicles with an upgraded subwoofer system. It restores and adjusts bass content through a dedicated low-level signal path before the subwoofer amplifier. The compact processor gives drivers a focused way to tailor low-frequency output without replacing the source unit.

This processor is intended for car-audio listeners who want more control over the bass character of an existing system. Its included dash-mount bass remote provides convenient adjustment of the bass-level output from the driver’s seat. That makes it useful when different recordings, listening levels, or driving conditions call for a different bass balance.

The BXiPRO1.5 provides adjustable bass width and sweep controls for fine-tuning its enhancement effect. Sweep selects the center frequency being processed, while width changes the range around that selected frequency. The result is an adjustable bass contour rather than a fixed boost setting.

Hifonics specifies balanced differential inputs to help reduce noise in a vehicle audio environment. The processor uses low-level RCA inputs and Tiffany-style RCA connectors, with a mono adjustable preamp output for the bass signal. Its maximum subwoofer-output voltage is rated at 9.5V at 1.0% THD+N.

With its small-profile format, attached mounting brackets, and included mounting hardware, the BXiPRO1.5 can be integrated into a range of vehicle layouts. It is compatible with universal vehicle applications and is intended to work alongside an upgraded subwoofer system. The processor replaces the earlier Hifonics BXiPRO1.0 model.

Design & Installation

The BXiPRO1.5 has a compact, small-profile design with attached mounting brackets for installation on a flat surface. It uses screw-in chassis connections intended to keep power and connection wiring secure. Tiffany-style RCA connectors and a black finish support a clean, integrated installation appearance.

Before permanently mounting the processor, Hifonics instructs installers to connect the wiring and verify operation. The unit requires a 9.5V to 15V supply, a clean chassis ground, a remote turn-on connection, low-level RCA input connections, and a 1A fused power connection. Mount it where connectors have clearance, keep wiring away from moving parts and excessive heat, and use the included mounting hardware.
