The Gretsch G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut is a right-handed semi-hollow electric guitar finished in Gunmetal. It is designed for players who want the airy character and visual style of a hollowbody while needing stronger control at amplified stage or rehearsal volume. Its double-cutaway body provides access to the upper frets for chord work, lead playing, and modern electric-guitar techniques.

A laminated maple body with an arched top and back gives the guitar a defined, resonant acoustic foundation. The chambered center-block construction adds stability and is designed to improve attack, sustain, and feedback rejection compared with a fully hollow body. With a 16-inch-wide body and 1.75-inch depth, it retains the substantial feel associated with larger Gretsch center-block instruments.

Two Broad'Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups provide the amplified voice, with stronger midrange, full low end, and clear high frequencies. The pickup set uses a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets. A push/pull master-volume control activates coil splitting for an alternate single-coil-style pickup mode.

The set nato neck uses a Soft C profile, a 24.75-inch scale length, and a 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard. Its 22 medium-jumbo frets, real bone nut, and 1.6875-inch nut width create a familiar electric-guitar platform for players moving between rhythm and lead parts. Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and aged-white binding complete the traditional Gretsch-inspired presentation.

For a guitar rig, the G2622 connects to a compatible guitar amplifier, pedalboard, recording interface, or other instrument-level signal path through its standard electric-guitar output. Individual neck and bridge pickup volumes, master tone, master volume, and a three-position pickup toggle allow players to shape the instrument before the signal reaches the rest of the system. The anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and Gretsch V-Stoptail provide a fixed-tailpiece setup suited to players who prefer straightforward string changes and tuning adjustments.

Key Features

  • Center-Block Construction: Chambered center block supports sustain, attack, and feedback resistance.
  • Broad'Tron BT-3S Pickups: Dual humbuckers deliver full lows, focused mids, and clear highs.
  • Push/Pull Coil Split: Master-volume control adds alternate split-coil pickup operation.
  • Laminated Maple Body: Arched maple construction provides a resonant, defined foundation.
  • Soft C Nato Neck: Comfortable neck profile supports rhythm and lead playing.
  • Adjusto-Matic And V-Stoptail: Fixed bridge and tailpiece provide stable, practical hardware.

Design & Installation

The G2622 uses an arched laminated-maple top and back, laminated maple body construction, aged-white body binding with black/white/black purfling, and a gloss Gunmetal finish. Its set nato neck has gloss finishing, aged-white neck binding, and a laurel fingerboard. Nickel hardware includes die-cast sealed tuning machines, an Adjusto-Matic bridge, V-Stoptail, radio-style control knobs, and a three-ply tortoise pickguard with a gold Gretsch logo.

This is a right-handed six-string electric guitar, so it should be connected with a suitable instrument cable to a guitar amplifier, effects chain, or recording input designed for electric guitar. Use the three-position toggle to select bridge, combined, or neck pickup operation, then set the individual pickup volumes, master tone, and master volume to suit the signal chain. A compatible case or gig bag is optional rather than included as a listed standard accessory.
