These pickups use Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets and are voiced for defined mids, full low frequencies and clear high end. The center block contributes added attack, sustain and improved feedback resistance when playing louder or with more gain.

Separate neck and bridge pickup volume controls work with master tone and master volume controls for flexible adjustment from the guitar. The master-volume push/pull control activates coil splitting, adding a leaner single-coil-style option alongside the humbucking sounds. A three-position toggle selects bridge pickup, both pickups, or neck pickup operation.

The anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and V-Stoptail provide a fixed-tailpiece platform for stable setup and straightforward restringing. A set nato neck, 24.75-inch scale length, 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets create a familiar electric-guitar playing surface. Design & Installation

The G2655 uses a gloss-finished laminated maple arched top and back with aged-white binding and black/white/black purfling. Its gloss nato set-neck has a Soft "C" profile, aged-white neck binding and an aged-white headstock binding. Nickel hardware includes die-cast sealed tuning machines, nickel pickup covers, Gretsch Radio control knobs and a cream pickguard with gold Gretsch logo.

No vehicle-style installation or external power wiring is required: connect the guitar's standard electric-guitar output to an appropriate instrument cable, then into an amplifier, pedalboard or audio interface with a suitable instrument input. The factory strings are nickel-plated steel in .010-.046 gauges, and the bridge should be set up by a qualified technician if changing string gauge or adjusting action and intonation. A case or gig bag is optional rather than included according to the manufacturer specification.
