The Zoom V6-SP is a floor-based vocal processor for singers who need hands-free control of vocal effects, harmonies, and looping in live performance or recording setups. It connects a microphone to an XLR mic input and provides a balanced XLR line-level output for a PA system, mixer, recorder, or compatible audio interface. A dedicated headphone output supports personal monitoring while practicing or setting levels.
Designed for vocalists, solo performers, streamers, and creators, the V6-SP combines pitch-based voice processing, harmony generation, and time-based effects in one compact pedal. Its Voice section includes 12 vocal-processing types, while the Effect section provides 10 effect types such as reverb, delay, chorus, distortion, and telephone emulation. The Harmony section can add up to two generated harmony voices to the original vocal.
The V6-SP has a built-in compressor to reduce input-level variation and an Enhance function that suppresses sibilance while bringing out vocal character. These front-end tools help prepare a vocal signal before it reaches the Voice, Harmony, and Effect sections. Input gain is adjustable from +3 to +40 dB for matching the pedal to a connected microphone.
A built-in Formant pedal changes vocal character without changing pitch, allowing real-time shifts toward a higher or lower vocal character. The pedal can be used independently of the selectable Voice, Harmony, and Effect processing. For performance recall, the unit provides 100 patch-memory locations, with 40 factory patches supplied.
The built-in looper records and layers vocal loops for up to 3.5 minutes, supporting overdubs as well as undo and redo functions. For computer recording and streaming, the Micro USB port operates as a 2-in/2-out USB 2.0 Full Speed audio interface at 44.1 kHz with 16-, 24-, or 32-bit operation. The V6-SP can run from the included AD-16 adapter, four AA batteries, or USB power, making it suitable for fixed and portable vocal rigs.

- Formant Pedal: Changes vocal character in real time without changing the vocal pitch.
- Built-In Looper: Records and layers vocal loops for up to 3.5 minutes.
- USB Audio Interface: Provides 2-in/2-out USB audio at 44.1 kHz for recording or streaming.
- Patch Memory: Stores settings in 100 memory locations, including 40 factory patches.
Design & Installation
The V6-SP uses an integrated floor-pedal format with footswitches for patch selection, bypass, and looper operation, plus a built-in Formant pedal for direct performance control. Zoom does not specify the enclosure material in its published specifications. Its 2-digit, 7-segment LED display shows patch-memory numbers and looper status.
Connect a dynamic or condenser microphone to the XLR MIC IN jack, then connect the balanced XLR OUTPUT to a line input on a mixer, PA system, recorder, or other compatible device. Enable +48 V phantom power only when using a microphone that requires it, and keep it off for microphones that do not support phantom power. An optional FP02M expression pedal can connect to the FP02 control input, while the Micro USB port can provide USB audio-interface operation and USB power.
