Viper 5305V 2-Way LCD Car Alarm and Remote Start System

The Viper 5305V is a vehicle security, keyless-entry, and remote-start system designed to add everyday convenience and monitored alarm functions to compatible automatic-transmission vehicles. Its two-way LCD remote provides command confirmation and vehicle-status feedback, helping the driver know whether a lock, unlock, alarm, or remote-start command was received. A companion one-way remote is also included for straightforward secondary control.

Remote start can warm or cool a parked vehicle when its factory climate settings have been left in the desired position. The system offers a stated operating range of up to 1/4 mile under suitable conditions and includes programmable remote-start runtime options. It is intended for fuel-injected automatic-transmission applications, with vehicle-specific integration requirements determined during installation.

For security coverage, the 5305V combines a Stinger DoubleGuard shock sensor, Failsafe Starter Kill capability, a status LED, and a Revenger six-tone siren. The adjustable shock sensor provides a lighter Warn Away response for minor impacts and a full alarm response for stronger impacts. The LCD remote can report command responses and alarm-related status through its on-screen icons.

The system uses 66-bit remote-code encryption and supports up to four vehicles from the included LCD transmitter when additional compatible systems are programmed. Four auxiliary outputs provide pathways for supported vehicle functions such as trunk release, rear hatch control, lighting, or other convenience features. Actual auxiliary functions depend on the vehicle, wiring, and any required interfaces or relays.

The 5305V is suited to drivers building a professionally integrated security and remote-start upgrade rather than a simple plug-in accessory. Its separate ESP2 and D2D connections support compatible Directed/XpressKit vehicle interfaces, while Viper SmartStart compatibility allows an optional smartphone-control upgrade. The included control center combines the RF antenna, status LED, and valet/emergency-override control in one installation component.

Design & Installation

The system centers on a compact control module with an integrated starter-kill relay, onboard remote-start relays, and separate ESP2 and D2D ports. Its package includes a 514LN six-tone soft-chirp siren, a DoubleGuard shock sensor, a windshield-mounted control center/antenna, status LED, transmitters, and installation harnesses. The LCD transmitter uses a backlit display and dedicated command controls, while the companion transmitter provides one-way operation.

Professional installation is recommended because remote-start and security integration varies substantially by vehicle. Mount the control center high on the front windshield using its supplied adhesive, and use the included shutdown switch and pin switch as directed by the installation documentation. Some vehicles may require a data interface, bypass module, additional relays, or vehicle-specific programming to retain factory functions and enable remote start correctly.
