The Viper 3103V is a 1-way vehicle security system designed to add remote-controlled arming, door-lock control, impact detection, and audible alarm response to a compatible vehicle. It is suited to drivers who want a dedicated aftermarket alarm without remote-start functionality. Two compact 2-button remotes provide direct control of the core security and convenience functions.

The system combines an onboard shock sensor with door, ignition, and optional connected trigger inputs to monitor the vehicle while armed. Light impacts produce a Warn Away response, while heavier impacts can trigger the full alarm response. A six-tone siren, flashing parking lights, and optional horn output provide noticeable vehicle-status and alarm indication.

Its security character is focused on clear, practical deterrence rather than two-way remote confirmation. The system supports a six-tone siren sequence and can be configured for Real Panic Sound horn output when enabled by the installer. The included remotes have up to a 1/4-mile stated operating range, although actual range varies with surroundings and radio interference.

Viper equips the 3103V with an onboard Stinger DoubleGuard shock sensor and Failsafe Starter Kill capability. The starter-interrupt circuit is intended to help prevent unauthorized starting when properly installed. Code-hopping remote technology and 66-bit encryption are also used to help protect remote commands from code grabbing.

The 3103V works well as a foundational security upgrade for vehicles that need aftermarket keyless entry, alarm coverage, or remote trunk-release capability. Its two auxiliary outputs can be integrated with compatible optional vehicle functions such as trunk release or another convenience accessory. Professional installation is strongly recommended because vehicle-specific interfaces, relays, and labor may be required.

Key Features

  • Two 1-Way Remotes: Includes two 2-button 7122V transmitters for everyday arm, disarm, and auxiliary control.
  • Onboard Shock Sensor: Detects light and heavy impacts for graduated Warn Away and full-alarm responses.
  • Failsafe Starter Kill: Provides a starter-interrupt circuit when installed in the vehicle's starter circuit.
  • Six-Tone Siren: Delivers an audible alarm response with flashing parking-light indication.
  • Remote Keyless Entry: Controls compatible power door locks through the system's lock and unlock outputs.
  • Two Auxiliary Outputs: Supports compatible optional functions such as trunk release or another convenience feature.

Design & Installation

The 3103V uses a dedicated control module with an onboard adjustable shock sensor, an integrated starter-kill relay, a status-LED connection, and a valet-button connection. Its two-button remotes use an internal transmitting antenna and transmit LED, keeping routine operation simple. The system also includes selectable positive or negative parking-light output capability and low-current control outputs for compatible vehicle circuits.

Professional installation is recommended because the system must be integrated with the vehicle's constant-power, ignition, ground, door-trigger, parking-light, siren, starter, and optional lock or auxiliary circuits. Low-current outputs must not be connected directly to motors or other high-current circuits without an appropriate relay. For best results, have the installer verify vehicle compatibility, set shock-sensor sensitivity, connect door-lock interfaces where applicable, and test every protected zone after installation.
