The Viper 3108V is a 1-way vehicle security and keyless-entry system designed to add alarm protection and remote convenience functions to a compatible vehicle. It combines remote arming and disarming, impact detection, a siren, and flashing parking-light confirmation. With two included 4-button transmitters, it provides control from up to 1/4 mile away under suitable conditions.

This system is suited to drivers seeking an aftermarket security upgrade with remote door-lock control and auxiliary-output capability. The 1-way remotes send commands to the vehicle but do not provide confirmation back to the transmitter. Vehicle-specific integration, including door locks and starter interrupt operation, depends on professional installation and the vehicle's wiring.

Its security response is built around a dual-stage, adjustable shock sensor housed in the control module. Light impacts can produce a Warn Away response, while heavier impacts can trigger a full alarm response. The included six-tone siren and flashing parking-light output provide audible and visual indication when the system is armed, disarmed, or triggered.

The 3108V uses Code Hopping technology, which changes the remote-control code during communication for added transmission security. Its Control Center combines the in-vehicle antenna, status LED, and Valet button in one assembly. The module also includes programmable settings for functions such as active or passive arming, lock pulse duration, siren duration, and auxiliary-channel behavior.

For a more integrated vehicle upgrade, the system supports remote keyless entry, ignition-controlled door locks when connected, and two auxiliary outputs for compatible relay-driven functions. A pre-wired starter-kill relay is included for installations that use starter interruption. The system is also compatible with the optional Viper SmartStart Pro module for smartphone-based control.

Key Features

  • Two 1-Way Remotes: Includes two 4-button transmitters for arming, disarming, panic, and auxiliary commands.
  • Up To 1/4-Mile Range: Provides remote control from up to approximately 1,500 feet under suitable conditions.
  • Dual-Stage Shock Sensor: Detects lighter impacts for warning response and heavier impacts for full alarm triggering.
  • Six-Tone Siren: Included 514N siren supplies audible alarm and confirmation chirps.
  • Starter Interrupt: Pre-wired starter-kill relay supports compatible starter-disable installations.
  • SmartStart Pro Ready: Supports an optional module for smartphone-based vehicle security control.

Design & Installation

The system centers on a compact control module with an integrated, adjustable dual-stage shock sensor. Its separate Control Center incorporates the RF antenna, status LED, and Valet/Program button, helping keep important controls accessible to the driver. The included siren, harnesses, remote controls, and starter-kill relay support a complete security-system installation.

Professional installation is recommended because the system requires connections to vehicle power, ignition, ground, door triggers, parking lights, siren wiring, and optional door-lock or auxiliary circuits. The Control Center is typically mounted high on the windshield with its supplied adhesive, while the module should be secured to a large wiring loom rather than firmly mounted to metal. Use relays when connecting the system's low-current outputs to motors or other high-current circuits.
