Viper 3308V LCD 2-Way Vehicle Security System

The Viper 3308V is a two-way vehicle security system designed to add remote-controlled protection, status confirmation, and convenience functions to a compatible vehicle. Its LCD two-way transmitter confirms commands and can report alarm activity back to the user. A second one-way four-button transmitter provides straightforward everyday control.

This system is intended for drivers who want an added layer of monitoring beyond a factory key fob. It supports arming and disarming, panic operation, flashing parking-light confirmation, and remote keyless-entry functions when the vehicle is properly connected. The included impact sensor responds differently to lighter and heavier impacts for graduated alert behavior.

The 3308V's two-way communication is centered on clear feedback rather than audio performance. The LCD remote displays vehicle and security-status icons, while its notification settings can use audible beeps and/or vibration. Listed operating range is up to 1/4 mile, though actual range can vary with the installation environment and surrounding interference.

Security hardware includes a six-tone siren, Real Panic Sound horn-honk capability, an impact sensor, and starter-interrupt support. The system can also use vehicle door, ignition, trunk, hood, and optional-sensor inputs when those circuits or accessories are installed. Nuisance Prevention Circuitry helps limit repeated alarm cycles from the same triggering source.

For system expansion, the 3308V provides two auxiliary outputs for compatible convenience functions such as trunk release or window automation when properly installed. It is also compatible with the Viper SmartStart Pro platform, with the compatible VSM550 SmartStart Pro 4G LTE GPS module offered separately. Professional installation is required to integrate the system correctly with vehicle-specific wiring, locks, lighting, and security circuits.

Design & Installation

The system combines a concealed control module with a windshield-mounted Control Center that integrates the in-vehicle antenna, status LED, and Valet button. The primary two-way remote uses an LCD status display, internal antenna, programmable response settings, and a replaceable CR2450 battery. The companion one-way remote uses an internal antenna, transmit LED, and four command buttons.
